The Family Business

Chapter 14

Gerard's POV

Frank shook me slightly to wake me up from my accidental nap.

"Hey sweetheart, we just landed." He says quietly to me as I rub the sleep out of my eyes.

"Okay, how close are we to where we will be staying?" I ask while unbuckling my seat belt.

"We are about a 45 minute drive to the house." He says while looking at his watch.

Instead of replying I lean over and peck him on the lips.

"What was that for?" He asking while blushing cutely.

"I just felt like kissing you to make sure that I wasn't still dreaming." I say as my own checks tint red. He smiles at me then quickly grabs hand and gives it a soft squeeze.

"As much as I love this moment, we should probably leave the plane and get in the car."

"That sounds like a plan to me." I say softly with a smile. He may not know this yet and maybe it's to early to say, but I am totally and completely in love with him.

-Skip car ride-

After that long trip we drive up to this house, or should I say mansion. Our driver pulls up to a gate then flashes his drivers license to the guy manning the huge gate. The guy lets us pass and the gate doors open to reveal the mansion. The mansion itself was about the same size if you morphed together Frankie's and my house.

"This is the Iero house. This is where our family started." He whispers into my ear.

"It's beautiful," I say in awestruck "do they know I am apart of a different family?" I ask him with a bit of worry in my voice.  As I say this the driver gets out and opens Frank's door.

"Yes they do and they don't care because we were never enemies of each other, so they aren't worried." He says getting out of the car, before turning around to help me out.

As I get out he takes my hand in his once again and we walk up to the front door.

"Are you ready to meet my parents?" He says while ringing the front door bell.

Before I could answer his question the door opens.
