Chapter 5: Monstrous Affection

No One's POV:

As the time passed by, it was finally night. And training with Yugataro was finished. It turns out that Tabitha was a fast learner when it came to fighting without a weapon or using her powers. Yugataro's very impressed with her progress, that he decided to make her something.

They were both drinking water bottles that Tabitha had packed in her bag, when Yugataro got an idea. He puts the water bottle down on the table he was leaning against and started to use his powers. She who was on the bed saw this and gasped.

Yugataro was using Earth powers.

Tabitha started to cough harshly, because she still had water in her mouth. Yugataro had finished making the item when he saw her coughing, dropping her present and running to her. He started to rub her back, asking her if she was ok, and Tabitha stopped, telling him that she was fine. Repeatedly.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Yugataro asks worryingly. "You were coughing pretty hard." He finally stopped rubbing her back, but is still holding her, carefully.

"Yeah I'm sure, thanks!" Tabitha replies. "I was just surprised when I saw you using Earth powers."

The ghost eyes widen and he looks away from the girl. Tabitha senses that he's hiding something, so she puts her right hand on his right cheek, and moves his head so he's facing her.

"I need to know what happened." Was all she said. He begrudgingly sighs.

"I already told you that I don't know about my past." His face was starting to looked annoyed from Tabitha asking him the same question. "I probably got Cole's powers when I, supposedly killed him. Or what the ninja are saying: I ate him."

Tabitha grabs both of his clawed hands and holds them together. They feel warm, and Yugataro doesn't want her to let go. She senses this but tries to keep calm.

"But how could you have gotten his powers?" Her voice started to shake. "Elemental powers are given when you're born, if someone like your mother or father has them. Cole was an only child, and he got his powers from his mother."

Tabitha tried to let go but he didn't let her. Instead he was holding her hands now, putting them close to his face. He finally noticed the other ring she was wearing. Both rings were on both her ring fingers. She gasps as he slowly starts to takes off the ring she made for Cole.

And just as the ring was about to come off her finger, she pulls both her hands away from him, and slaps him. Hard, making him fall back. She got off the bed and started to scream at him.

"DON'T TOUCH THIS, YOU MONSTER!" Tabitha cries holding onto the black ring. Yugataro was holding his right cheek, which had turned red from the slap. "I WON'T LET YOU HAVE THIS! IT'S THE RING I WAS GOING TO PROPOSE TO COLE WITH!"

Yugataro started to growl, loudly. He lets go of his cheek and got up from the bed. He towered over her, and for some reason she started to feel cold, and scared. Yugataro looked at her, but instead of a horrifying scowl, he had on a terrifying grin. His eyes weren't glowing their usual blood red color, either. They were replaced with endless black pools for eyes.

Yugataro walks closer to her, and stops when he's just an inch away from her body. He smirks and puts one of his clawed hands on her waist. Tabitha, frozen with fear, doesn't push him away.

"I like a woman that can fight." His voice sounding echoey. It sounded like a demon. She tries backing away, but he had a firm grip on her waist. Noticing that she was trying to escape; Yugataro grabs her with both his hands, and pulls her closer to him. She whimpers, and he smirks showing all his teeth that had transformed in sharp fangs.
