Chapter 4: Simple Self Defense

The Next Day/No One's POV:

Sunlight shines on Tabitha's eyes, she opens them and notices that she's not in her room. Instead she's in a cave, laying down on a beat up mattress on that's on the cave floor. Her galaxy quilt is on top of her, and her teddy bear is next to her. She has a used-pillow with a Hello Kitty pillowcase covering it.

But the thing the she found most shocking was that when she looked to her right, Tabitha saw her ninja gi folded on top of a table-shaped boulder. She looked down and saw that she was wearing a pair of her pajamas: a large blue nightgown with a panda on it, and black shorts.

She gets up and screams.

Just then more light fills the cave as an opening has appeared. And so did Yugataro. He runs to her and asks if she's okay with a look of worry on his face, since he heard her scream.

"Get away from me!" Tabitha screams at him, pushing him away. "You're so sick!"

"What do you mean?" He questions her, angry with her remark. She makes a motions towards her pajamas, and he sighs.

"Oh, that." He sighs, rubbing his eyes. "You passed out last night, and I thought that you would be more comfortable if you had something else on. Trust me, I felt awkward putting them on an unconscious body. And it certainly doesn't mean that I enjoyed it."

She calms down a little bit and sees the opening. But Yugataro was one step ahead of her, so he closed it.

"You're not going anywhere." He says crossing his arms, and she growls angrily. Sitting back on the bed, she grabs her bear upsettingly and snuggles with it. "So, are you hungry?" He asks her casually, walking to the table. "We have cereal, bagels, and fruit."

"I'm not really hungry." She grumbles to herself. Tabitha glances at him, and sees that he's leaning on the table with his arms crossed. Staring at her with his blood-red eyes.

"Stop staring at me Cole!" Tabitha yells at him, turning around to face the wall.

Yugataro growls loudly. "Why do you keep calling me that?!" He asks in a frustrated tone, banging his clawed-fist on the table.

"Oh, I don't know?!" Tabitha yells sarcastically, turning around and getting up, dropping her bear on the bed. "Well, maybe it's because you, out of ANYBODY IN NINJAGO, LOOKS AND SOUNDS JUST LIKE HIM!"

"AND JUST BECAUSE I LOOK AND SOUND LIKE THE MAN YOU USED TO LOVE, DOESN'T MEAN THAT I'M THAT PERSON!" He roars back, standing back up, towering over her. He growls loudly.

"YOU ARE THE ONE THAT I USED TO LOVE!" Tabitha hollers at him, her tears forming. "But you're not that man anymore." She cries, covering her face with her hands and laying back down on the bed, facing away from Yugataro.

What does she mean by that? Yugataro asks himself. He noticed her tears and calms down. Yugataro then walks over to her make-shift bed, and sits down next to her. He sighs frustratingly, putting both his hands on his face, and his elbows on his legs.

"I'm sorry, Tabitha." Yugataro apologizes, looking down at his dirty, brown and yellow ninja gi. "But I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not Cole. And even if I was him, I wouldn't be him anymore." He looks over at Tabitha who has sat up, and is snuggling with her bear. Her knees were bent but were under her nightgown.

"I don't really remember my past that much. All that I remember is just being in a lot of pain. And then one day I woke up like this, in Cole's room. The ninja thought that I killed their friend. But before I left I took that ring I gave you, because I knew for some reason that it belonged to me." Yugataro explains to her. He then looks up to see that she is staring at him with sadness in her eyes for him.
