Chapter 12: Caught "Green" Handed

No One's POV:

"Cole? Is that really you?" Lou asks, tears starting to form in his eyes. "But how? The ninja told me that they saw you die!"

Yugataro slowly nods his head. "It sure is, yet I don't know how. But I do know one thing." He admits, finally looking at his father. "This version of Cole — I mean, me — isn't the same son you know and love. And I might not ever be it again, anytime soon."

Lou slowly walks over the dragon-ghost, and looks him dead in the eye. A small tear rolls down his cheek.

"No matter what happens..." the old man places both his hands on Yugataro's shoulders. "You will always be my son." Lou silently hugs his son. His body begins shaking because he's crying. He's extremely glad to hear and see that Cole didn't die.

Although, Yugataro didn't know what to do. He didn't really expect to get a good reaction from the old man. He certainly didn't think that he was going to receive a hug from him. Yugataro gently hugs his father, and the two of them share a special moment with each other.

"Umm, is everything good in here?" A girl with short purple hair asks, walking into the room. A blonde boy holding a mouse follows her into the house. "Are you okay Mr. Brookstone?"

Yugataro and Lou quickly release each other. The ghost turns around to see the people, but sighs in relief. It's just Tabitha and Nelson wearing their disguises.

"Who are you?" Lou asks suspiciously towards the girl. "And why aren't you scared that Yugataro's here?"

Tabitha smiles and slowly walks up to the old man, with Nelson right behind her. She stops right in front of Lou, and closes her eyes.

A magical glow surrounded her body, changing her short purple hair, to long dark brown. Her eyes went from a baby blue color, to a dark chocolate brown. The same happened with the boy. His blonde hair turned brown, and his freckles were back on his face.

When she was finished, the ninja opens her eyes and looks at a very shocked Lou. She smiles shyly.

"Long time no see, Mr. Brookstone." Tabitha chuckles softly. "How have you been?"

"Oh my goodness!" Lou exclaims happily. "Tabitha! It's so good to see you again!" He gives her a heartfelt hug. Lou looks over to Nelson and gasps. "Is this the little boy that I heard got kidnapped?"

Yugataro freezes in place. Lou angrily hits his son on the head with his cane. The ghost growls upsettingly, and rubs his hurt head.

"I was only gonna have him stay for one night." Yugataro mumbles, crossing his arms. "His friends were—!"

"That doesn't mean you should have kidnapped him!" Lou seethes towards his son. "It was all over the news. They even got footage of that little speech you made." Yugataro growls even more, and looks away from his father.

"Not to mention that you kidnapped your girlfriend. Who just so happens to be one of the most powerful people in all of Ninjago!" Lou says in a matter of fact. "And don't get me started on the attacks you were doing to those innocent campers. You're now the most wanted person in all of Ninjago!"

"DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT!" Yugataro roars, causing the others in the room to jump in fear. "I'M SORRY THAT I'M SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT NOW!" The ghost covers his face with his hand. His body begins to shake, as tears slide down his cheeks. "I don't know why this is happening to me, and I don't know how to stop this madness. Because it's only getting worse, and soon I won't be the same. I'm gonna turn into a literal MONSTER!"
