???

I cleaned up, secured everything and went to bed. I slept until my alarm woke me up. I felt a million times better. I went to the bathroom and then to the kitchen to get some water. My throat didn't hurt so I gave my voice a try. I laughed at myself. It was very deep. I drank more water and went to check on my sleeping beauty.

I stretched and found myself in an empty bed. I got up and took care of business, unsure of what his plans were for the day. I crawled back in bed and got comfortable, knowing he'd be back.

I crawled back in bed and laid on my side and watched Lizzie. She was somewhere between awake and asleep. It made me smile. I'd be able to talk to her. That made me happier.

I took a deep breath in and caught his scent. I opened my eyes and smiled at him. "Good morning my love." I stretched and reached for him.

"Good morning." I wrapped myself around her before she could react and kissed her cheek.

"Your voice is back!" I was engulfed by his body. "And it's so low."

I smiled and nodded. "Who loves you baby?" I laughed and rubbed her nose with mine.

I giggled. "I love you too." I captured his lips with mine. "I'm so happy. Do you have to go into the studio today?"

"You and me both. Let's go make breakfast and go shopping."

"Shopping for what?" I had a kit of questions, but I practically bounced out of and to the kitchen.

"Family, friends, whatever," I whispered when I caught up to her in the kitchen. "Food. We need more of that."

"Mmmkay." I slipped myself into his arms. "That will be nice." Together we put together a nice easy breakfast and we ate it. We took turns showering and dressing for the day. It didn't take us long to get out of the apartment and on our way. He was still fairly quiet on partial vocal rest. I played with my nails most of the way. They were sparkly.

I drove us to the mall. We wandered around together until we found the gifts we were looking for for our friends. We took a break for lunch in the food court. "Want to divide and conquer?"

"Sure, that could be fun." There were a couple of small stocking things I wanted to pick up for Avi and this would give me a great opportunity.

"Okay. I'll text you. I hugged her and held her hand for a second before wandering off to the first shop. "Love you." It didn't take me long to find everything that I wanted for her. I had each giftwrapped so that I wouldn't have to hide it. I picked out five different thigs for her and made one plan that I thought just might work. I called Marisa to see if it was done. She sent me a picture and I smile. It was perfect. I deleted the picture. "Done." It wasn't quite dinner time just yet, but I was looking forward to dinner out with Lizzie.

I found the small stocking stuffers I wanted and I picked up some "wrapping paper" for me. I smiled at my purchases and waited for Avi's text.

I wandered back to the food court and waited for her there. I fiddled with my phone while I waited for her response to my text. I figured I'd call in a few minutes if she didn't respond just in case the text didn't go through.

I got his text and headed to the food court. I smiled when I saw him and waved. He had bags filled with wrapped presents. I giggled. "Not wrapping them yourself?"

"Not this year.." I grinned like the Cheshire cat. "Besides, then you'd know what I got you and where I got it from. Are you hungry yet?"

I laughed. "I could eat. Where are we going?"

"Pizza or wings. Want wings?"

"Wings sound good. With root beer?"

"Cream soda. Let's go." I grabbed her hand and our packages and headed to the car. The wings place wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly. I hadn't talked much on the way over and I asked Lizzie to order for me after I pointed out what I wanted along with extra water.

I was more than happy to place our orders. We made faces at each other across the table. Then we practiced reading lips. We ended up doing a lot of laughing before our order came. I thanked the server when it did and we dug into our dinners.

Dinner was good and the night out was pleasant. We got home and I put the gifts I got under the tree. I'd make one more trip for her that I wouldn't tell her about. "We need to go grocery shopping. Cereal tomorrow?" I kissed her softly as I hugged her. "I can go. Looks like you want to wrap stuff."

"Mmmkay. I do need to wrap and go to the post office in the next couple of days. I melted into his arms.

"Okay." I kissed her again and held her tightly. "Love you. I'll text when I am on my way home."

"I love you too. Okay." I yawned and went to put my pjs on.

The second I was outside I texted Marisa and asked her if she could meet me at the grocery store between her place and mine with the gift she had for Lizzie. I picked it up and did my shopping in record time. "Can I come home now?"

I had very little actual wrapping to do. I hid the stocking stuffers and put the "wrapping paper" boxes in my drawer. I was relaxing on the couch when he texted. Yes please.

When I got home she was in her PJ but met me at the door to carry the groceries inside we got the putaway and settled in for the night. We lit the Menorah, said our prayers, but once again her voice was the solo voice singing. I just played my guitar while she did it. We cleaned up and went to bed. We were becoming quite the domestic couple. It was nice. I fell asleep quickly and slept soundly.
