Soon, Soon

"Mmmkay." I let him pull me to the bedroom and into the bathroom. We didn't have the most amount of space, but it was nice getting back to routine. I had just gotten home from the airport before dinner. We ate and snuggled on the couch for a bit before we ended up naked and sweaty. He turned the water on and I dragged him in under the spray.

"Hot, hot, hot!" I clung to her, picked her up and moved away from the water. I put her down and laughed. "Too hot for this skin babe."

I laughed and got under the water. A shower always felt good after flying. "What did you do for a week without me?"

"Well, I saw my mom and dad, Esther and Darien, and Josh came home. I went to the studio with him. What did you do?"

"I hung out with my parents and my brothers. We went shopping and we played games. I missed meeting Josh?"

"Yeah, sorry. Hopefully, he'll be back home again sometime soon. I stayed out of trouble, how about you? Were you a good girl?"

"Define good. I didn't get into any trouble, but I did miss you an awful lot. Especially because we didn't talk much."

"I missed talking to you too, but I'm glad we texted each other a lot, but mom started asking too many questions."

"Yeah, my mom did too. I told her I was dating someone, but I wasn't ready to talk about it yet."

"Hmmm. Yeah. Let's wash and get a snack and go to bed."

"Okay." I handed him my loofah and body wash. "No one said we had to go to sleep."

"Oh. I was definitely not planning on it. Not in the least bit." I smiled and winked as I took her loofah. "Nope. Not at all."

We finished our shower after some touching and kissing. We slid into some pjs and headed to the kitchen to get a snack. He made us some tea, while I got out some cheese and crackers and some grapes. We snacked and talked for a little while before heading to bed.

"I really missed you. I know I already asked but how was your flight? How is the family? How about the change in weather? So you didn't tell them about me?"

I smiled at him and reached for his hand. "My flight was really good actually. The family is amazing. Happy and healthy. It was chilly, but not too bad. It was supposed to start snowing shortly after I left. I didn't tell them any specifics. They know I am seeing a relatively famous musician, but that we aren't really talking about it yet. I told them that they would get to find out soon."

"That's all good. Soon or hashtag soon? The family should be okay, like mom, dad, brothers, right? What do you want to snack on?"

"Soon soon. Yeah, the four of them. I was hoping maybe we could Skype with them before Christmas." I pushed the little tray towards him that I had pulled out of the fridge. "Do we have any chocolate bars?"

"I'll be an awkward duck. They are here somewhere."

"They will love you. I promise. My mom is already a fan." I giggled and got up to look for the chocolate.

"Scary stuff." I smiled and decided we needed a change of subject so I stole a long slow deep kiss from Lizzie then stole a grape and pointed to the cabinet where I put the chocolate.

"Hmmm. I like that." I went to the cupboard he pointed to as the tea kettle whistled. "How is your family doing?"

"Everyone seems to be doing fine. We're healthy at least. Josh cut his hair. He got a little mad at me when I kept rubbing his head. One of these days I'm going to remember he's bigger than me."
