Dinner
We woke up snuggled completely into each other the next morning. We had really settled into a very domestic routine. I still didn't quite understand why we couldn't make this more permanent. I got my packages ready to go out in the mail and to the post office. The next couple of weeks passed fairly uneventfully. We finished up Hanukkah and continued to get ready for Christmas.
Things were great. Mom was still upset with me, but a little less than she was when she first discovered that Lizzie and I were staying together. I got all kinds of talks on the matter to include the 'Isn't it too soon and How do you know?" talks. The worst one was a slip of the tongue for mom. It was the 'you thought SHE loved you' talk and it was ugly. Probably the worst conversation in the history of conversations between me and my mother. I swallowed that one and didn't mention it when I got home. The time between Christmas and Hanukkah went really quickly. We did some mild hiking and went on a lot of walks. It was very nice waking next to her every morning. Mom relented but only after agreeing that 1 month was going to be more beneficial than none and by the end of it I would know. We were sitting at the kitchen table discussing our plans for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. "Want to go out for dinner?"
The time passed very quickly and it seemed like our arrangement would soon be over. At least my hormones were back to normal and Avi seemed to be in better spirits and getting along better with his mom. I was looking forward to wrapping myself up for him and seeing his reaction to the presents I got him. I was a bit nervous about Christmas at Gran's though. I was a little lost in a daydream and realized I needed to answer his question. "I would love to."
"Awesome. I know just the place. Let's get dressed and ready to go. Nothing fancy, jeans and a sweater should work." I hopped up and headed to the room to change.
I followed him and met him under the mistletoe just outside of the bedroom door. I laid a quick one on him and snuck past him. I pulled that flat box out of my dresser drawer and took it and my sweater and jeans into the bathroom to change. I hoped the silver/gray lace corset would lay nice under the thin red sweater. Much to my delight, it did. I pulled on the matching lace panties and lace garter belt. I added the thigh-high gray fishnets and clipped them in place. I pulled the jeans on over all of it and a pair of short socks. I looked in the mirror, he would never know until later.
I threw on some jeans and a dark red sweater and my boots. I was ready in minutes. When Lizzie came out of the bathroom I Iooked at her suspiciously. "Bathroom for sweater and jeans?"
"I needed the mirror." I winked at him. "Where are we going?"
"Out." I looked at my phone to check the time. "You ready?"
I slipped on some boots and grabbed my jacket. "Yep, I am ready."
I was quiet as I drove. She reached for my hand I gave it to her for as long as I could. When I needed them both I put it on the wheel with a smile that I hoped to her I didn't want to let go. I drove us to a part of town I had never taken her to before. Every building was decorated with lights for Christmas. I drove us through several small neighborhoods to look at the lights before I got us to our destination. It looked like a hole-in-the-wall jenky little Thai food restaurant. I knew better. All of the cars in the parking were high-end vehicles. I spotted a limo out back and pointed it out as I helped her out of the car. "I wonder who is here." I kissed her cheek. It was dark and we were quite alone.
I loved looking at all of the Christmas lights. I pouted when he took his hand away, but I understood. He was taking me somewhere I had never been before and the restaurant looked like a hole in the wall place. I was a little nervous, but he had never steered us wrong before and there were some crazy expensive vehicles parked here. "Ooh, I wonder." I took his hand and let him lead me.
