For about three weeks I had streamed almost daily. I'd mostly get on the Dream SMP, building and chatting with friends, but I'd also play other games such as Among Us and Jackbox. As long as I got to talk to my new group of friends, I was pretty happy.
I looked around my room, at the off-white walls staring blankly back at me.
I just stared for what seemed like hours, consumed in my own thoughts.
After some time, I blinked away from my daze and walked over to my computer, situating myself onto the chair and turning on the computer.
I folded my hands in front of me, studying the keyboard as the screen flicked on in front of me.
Leaning forward, I entered the password to the computer and watched it log in, showing my mostly bare desktop.
Discord automatically opened, along with a few other applications such as Spotify which I automatically turned off.
I opened the Dream SMP server, staring at the conversations from earlier, pretty much checking over what I had missed while I slept.
Most of it was banter or talk of the plot on the Minecraft server, which I wasn't really part of at the moment.
I scrolled through the channels, looking at the voice chats and noticing a group was currently situated in VC2.
I grabbed my headset and put it on, bringing my microphone closer to my face and joining the call.
"Hello?" I croaked, hoping that I hadn't disturbed an important meeting of some sort.
"Hi Y/N!" Niki cheerfully welcomed me into the call.
"Hey Y/N." Wilbur added on.
"MARRY CHRISTMAS E—" Fundy screamed, being cut out by his microphone. I laughed at the slight mishap before realizing what Fundy had said.
"Holy shit it's Christmas Eve already?" I yelped in response, fiddling my fingers under my setup nervously. I had totally lost track of the days between playing games with all the lovely people I had met.
"Yeah! It's almost Christmas." Tubbo chirped, clapping his hands in excitement.
"Fuck. I forgot to get everyone presents," I groaned, leaning down and holding my head in my hands, "I'm sorry..."
"It's no problem!" Wilbur laughed at my situation, "We weren't expecting presents at all, there's no pressure."
I shook my head and looked back up at my computer screen, grabbing the mouse and minimizing Discord.
"No. I'm going to make everyone presents right now. In Minecraft."
As I said so, I opened up the game, watching the loading bar fill up and waiting for the game to start up.
There were a couple lighthearted laughs from the call, not too worried about whether or not I actually got them anything.
"This is serious." I responded sternly, "You guys are my friends, I have to get you something."
As soon as Minecraft loaded in, I speedran my way onto the server, wanting to get everything ready as soon as possible.
"When you're done, you can go get the present I made you from the Christmas tree!" Niki politely spoke up.
"Thanks Niki." I left the call and checked who was on the server, no one.
Perfect.
I could easily get everything I needed and make presents for every person on the server.
I silently sprinted through the terrain, arriving at the cave house I had made on my first day in the server.
I collected my pickaxe and a couple more tools before going out to my nearby mine, ready to go and find diamonds.
"Ok how many people are on the server..." I muttered, trying to count them all in my head.
"Niki, Wilbur, Fundy, Tubbo, Tommy, Eret, Jack, Connor, Puffy, Bad, Skeppy, Dream, Sapnap, George..." I started to list them off, loosing track much too soon.
"I'll just look up a list of people on the server."———
After about ten minutes of mining, I had ten diamonds. I had gotten pretty lucky, but most of the diamonds I already had lying around in chests.
It definitely wasn't enough for everyone on the server, but mining could get boring easily, so I stopped for the moment.
Instead, I started to gather sugarcane, leather, ink sacs, and feathers. I wanted to write everyone a letter, each of them at least two pages longs and handwritten for every person.
"I need to make these presents good." I nodded to myself, starting my journey to collect the materials.
While I was killing some squids, another person joined the server, Wilbur.
I quickly typed up a hello in chat, not wanting to waste too much time.<Y/U> o/
I continued gathering materials, pretty much ignoring everything around me.
Was I kind of obsessed with this task? Yeah. Was it worth it? Maybe. But these were friends! They deserved the best.
It didn't take long for Wilbur to respond to my short message.<WilburSoot> Hello :)
<WilburSoot> Can you join vc again
<Y/U> Why
<WilburSoot> Because we need more people to talk toI rolled my eyes lightheartedly before adding another response.
<Y/U> I'm busy tho
<WilburSoot> playing Minecraft
<Y/U> Yes exactlyThere was no response afterwards, so I continued on my hunt.
I was able to make about five books and quills before I was interrupted.
While I was writing out my first book, I heard the door to my cave home open. Closing the book, I turned my avatar, looking at Wilbur's standing in the doorway.<Y/U> shbsjebdidnkd
<Y/U> how did you find my house
<WilburSoot> :)I scoffed and opened the book back up, still trying to decide who the message to be sent to. At the moment it was simply a cut and paste message to nobody.
In the corner of my screen, I could see Wilbur's monotone character walk up to mine, just standing there.
I didn't pay much attention to him, continuing on my project.
Smack.
I closed the book and looked at my health bar. There was half a heart missing.
I turned towards the character besides mine, grimacing at him through the screen.<Y/U> >:(
<WilburSoot> :)I punched him back before opening the book again.
Smack.
I ignored him.
Smack.
Or at least I tried to.
Smack smack.<Y/U> S T O P
<WilburSoot> :)I sprinted to the door, pressing the button to open it and leaving the house.
I tapped F5 twice, noticing that he was right on my tail, punching the air behind me.
"This motherfucker." I sighed, going back to first person and continuing my sprint, trying to get away from him.
He continued to chase me, occasionally getting a hit in.
I soon realized that I was almost out of hunger and I'd have to stop running at some point, so I stopped.
I opened Discord up once again, joining the call that Wilbur was in.
"WILBUR STOP CHASING ME." I slam a fist down on my desk, situating my headphone correctly onto my head.
My screams were met with loud laughter from Wilbur and the others in the call.
"Hey I needed someone new to talk to! Tommy's screeches aren't funny all the time." Wilbur chuckled.
"HEY I AM VERY FUNNY." Tommy spat back, causing another round of laughter, "SEE?"
I rolled my eyes and opened Minecraft back up, noticing that Wilbur had ran off to do his own things.
"So what conversation did you want me to join exactly?" I jokingly groaned, not exactly displeased to now have company.
"We were mostly talking about what we were going to do on Christmas." Tubbo explained, "Most of us are gonna do Christmas streams."
"I could probably join in on a stream, I don't have much to do on Christmas other than maybe FaceTiming my family." I laughed, continuing my present-making as I talked.
"We could do an all day event?" Fundy brought up, "Playing different games all day until we get tired?"
I nodded, honestly that wasn't the worst idea. It would be fun to play games nonstop until we pretty much dropped dead.———
After a little bit of chatting, we had a group ready to do a possibly 24 hour stream of just fun and festivities.
Honestly, I was hyped, I got to spend Christmas with a bunch of amazing Youtubers and friends.
This was going to be the best Christmas by far.————————————————————————
