Chloe's P.O.V
We were invited to fly to L.A and meet with Simon Cowell. THE Simon Cowell! We accepted the invite and booked a flight to L.A.

When we got off the plane, the place instantly brought back memories. The fresh scented air. The huge landscape and buildings spotted in the distance. I was home. And damn, it felt good to be home.

We had to get a cab and drove all the way to Syco Music Productions. When we got there, Simon Cowell was waiting for us. He shook each of our hands and led us into his office.

"Fancy place he's got here," Preston said, admiring the huge building.

In Simon's office

"Okay, here is your contract. Sign it and you'll all be a part of this management."

"Umm, Simon? How long will this contract last?"

"Until next year."

I nodded.

Simon looked creepily eager for us to sign it. I had a lot of hesitation because this was the first time I've signed a contract. It seemed super important so I made sure to read everything beforehand so I knew what I was getting into.

Just before I signed the contract, a memory popped into my mind. A memory of us winning our first ever Brit award. It was also the day I met Zayn Malik for the first time. I'd only ever seen him on my bedroom wall, so meeting him in real life was one of the most spectacular moments in my entire life.

I remember our little chat about random stuff. He asked me about my rise to fame and all that. Then, I can't remember how but the conversation shifted to us talking about sketchy people in the music industry.  He told me to be careful of Simon Cowell, out of all people. "He only wants one thing, money. He'll use you to fill up his bank account. He's the man you really shouldn't sign a contract with. It'll ruin more than just your mental health. Trust me, just don't." He said in his deep British accent.

I looked up at Simon. He looked impatient with my constant pauses. "Why don't we just get on with the signing, shall we?" He asserted. I took one last deep breath before looking at my fellow bandmates. They all smiled hopefully at me. I pressed the pen down onto the paper and we each signed our names on the contract. It was done. Nothing we could do now. We'd have to wait for a whole year to pass before we could legally get out of the contract. That is if we ever felt it got too harsh on us.

Now only God could predict what we'd get into.
