Chloe's P.O.V
For the past half an hour, Perrie and Jade were chilling in the corner, giggling and altogether, just wasting precious time. Now, I didn't think it was any of my business, but I just had to go over there and get them back to work.I marched on over there and crossed my arms to make it seem like I was serious about this. They didn't even notice me standing right in front of them! "Ahem!" I cleared my throat, catching their attention. "Oh, hi Chloe!" Perrie waved at me, clearly not seeing my stern expression. "What are you two doing? You guys aren't on break yet!" I told them off.
"I didn't know she had the right to tell us what to do" Perrie whispered to Jade. "She doesn't. She just likes telling people what to do because it covers up the fact that she's doing the same thing we're doing: nothing. And it makes her feel reassured that we're doing worse than she is" Jade smirked, making it obvious that she wanted me to hear every word she said.
"Ohhhh ok." Perrie nodded, taking Jade's opinion seriously. She is a dumb blonde. And I'm not even stereotypical. Ok, maybe a tiny little part of me is, but that's not the point. She can't even think for herself and takes everyone's word seriously, not even knowing right from wrong.
It's times like these that make me regret choosing a career in music. I mean, everything would've been fine if I just didn't have to collaborate or even be in the presence of these first-place-craving maniacs who would go out of their way to make me lose this competition.
Lunch Break
I rested myself on my table, while the boys sat munching on their lunches. While waiting for the lunch break to be over, I overheard Perrie and Jade's conversations about the most random things.I decided to mind my own business like I should've done before, and just continue with my work to pass the time. I walked over to my desk which was, unfortunately, super close to the two gossiping girls. I tried to ignore them as much as possible but then Jade decided to subtly involve me in the conversation.
"Y' know, lollipops are so...mouth-watering. A colourful tiny orb that you engulf in your mouth, sucking it till you pop it back out again" Perrie described as if it was so godly and breath-taking. What exactly is so breath-taking about a tiny piece of candy? Better question, why are these two sitting around and discussing candy flavours???
"Yeah" Jade agreed with Perrie. She admired the cherry-flavoured orb in her grasp. "Like this one, sucking till the...cherry pops out" she described, winking at me.
"OKAY, thank you, Jade, for that very sickening description of a lollipop but can you two PLEASE stop pulling me into the conversation," I interjected before this conversation got out of hand. Perrie held in her annoyingly obvious sound of laughter.
"Man, you should feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now...being loved by Jade is an ultimate blessing." Perrie pulled me aside and whispered.
"You mean I'm lucky because I'm loved by some obsessive chick with no boundaries or sense of personal space?" I asked, raising a brow. "Damn, you make it sound worse than it is" Perrie replied. "As if it could get worse!" I fired back. She actually thinks it's a blessing just because it's Jade Thirlwall who's crushing on me?
It shouldn't matter if someone is hot or not. If they possess behaviour that you are clearly uncomfortable with...get yourself out of the situation ASAP. Don't stick around thinking they're gonna change. If you know what they're like, you know if they're willing to change or not. Either way, just yeet yourself outta that situation.
Later that Day
It was 5 minutes past 5 and we were getting bored. Preston was just rolling a pencil around, Gavin was doodling on the paper, and Jeremy was just staring into space. I noticed Leigh-Anne walking an inch closer to me every few seconds. She probably wanted to start an argument for no good reason.
