7:00 PM Friday, Chloe's P.O.V
I was getting ready to head home and catch up on some sleep. As I was packing up, I felt a warm hand grab my shoulder from behind. I jolted and nearly fell over. "What do you want!?" I yelled. It was Jade. She just smiled. "Going home already?" she asked. "Could you stop following me?" I asked her. She frowned. "I just don't want you to be lonely, that's all," she said. "Well, I don't need you to keep me company, so get lost" I snapped. She cocked her head."Woah, watch that pretty mouth of yours, darling" she replied sweetly. I just rolled my eyes and continued packing up. "Y' know, just because I have a habit of flirting with you, it doesn't mean I'm willing to tolerate your rude behavior towards my best friends" she stated firmly. "Wow, such a good friend you are," I said sarcastically. Jade lifted herself onto the table to sit. Her blonde hair swept over her face as she did so.
"At least I don't yell at my friends" she fired back with a sweet smile on her face. "Y' know I've just about had it up to here with you!" I asserted, getting up in her face. "Then show it. Do something. Anything! Hit me, like you hit Leigh-Anne!" She yelled. Our faces were so close, they were nearly touching. Not like I wanted them to.
"Come on, do it if you're so angry with me!"
Believe me, I wanted to. But something was holding me back from hurting her. I looked at her. Her eyes, locked in contact with mine. Was she serious? Did she really want me to hurt her? She didn't even look scared.
"Go ahead, Chloe. I won't snitch" she tempted. I raised my fists up. Her eyebrows raised as if she was waiting for me to make my move. But instead, my hands fell back down as I gave up.
Jade's P.O.V
I saw Chloe rest her hands on the table. Maybe this plan would work out after all..."Now do you wanna tell me why you're so angry all the time?" She asked.
"Look, I'm not letting you in on my life story or anything so you might as well stop asking"
I just sighed and 'gave up'. "Okay, you win Chloe. You can leave if you want to. But first, no hard feelings?" I asked, reaching out my hand to shake hers. She awkwardly did so and I looked right into her eyes. "Has anyone ever told you how long your eyelashes are? They're beautiful" I complimented. "No, just you" she responded slowly.
She tried not to stare into my eyes, her eyes nervously looking around to break eye contact. I smiled one last time at her before taking out a pair of handcuffs I'd stashed for later (don't ask) and slid her hands through the metallic object. Then, I handcuffed the handcuffs on her, to the table. I know, crafty right? She tugged on it again and again but it was stuck. I couldn't resist smirking at how the plan had worked out so far. Then, she looked up at me. "Jade, what the heck is wrong with you!? Just let me g..." I pressed my fingers on her lips to calm her down.
"I'm really sorry, love. But you need to learn a little word called respect. And, like it or not, you and I are gonna be spending a little time together learning all about it." I said, tracing patterns on her arm. She tried to pull away from my gentle touch. "Jade, if this is some sick flirtatious joke to get me to like you..."
"It's not, Chloe. It's not even a joke. It's to teach you a good old lesson on manners. Cuz you clearly need some"
That's when I saw Chloe's eyes light up with anger. She went rogue on those handcuffs as she tried to tug and squirm with all her strength. "Oh, I wouldn't do that if I were you, love. It's not exactly the softest material and it'll scrape your skin. Just calm down" I said, pressing a warm hand on her surprisingly freezing arms. She flinched at my warm embrace.
"Could you just let me go?" her voice softened up from a shout to a whisper.
"If you apologize...maybe I'll consider letting you go"
