I opened my eyes, at first my sight was blurred and it took a few seconds to adjust to the light in the room. I couldn't move my neck and my whole body felt numb.
"Sinead?" Someone beside me whispered. I didn't say anything, I just blinket and looked at the celing. "How are you feeling?" Mum asked, peering over and looking at me.
"Sore," I said, trying to force a brave smile.
"The doctor said it looked worse than it was, only two small fractures in your head, I thought you were going to die," She softly whispered.
"Good job I didn't, eh?" I smirked. A nurse came in and took the neck brace off from around my neck and explained that I would be able to go home in a few hours once my test results came back and I was given the all clear.
"Does Grandma know I'm here?" I nervously asked.
"I haven't had time to ring her, do you want me to do it now?" Mum replied, going to grab her phone.
"Don't say anything to her," I demanded and Mum looked at me as if to say why. "She worries," I lied. If Grandma found out I'd been assaulted and was in hospital with a fractured skull hours after setting foot in England for the first time in my entire life, she'd just simply come over and take me back. Back to the hotel, back to work which I didn't want.

It was Tuesday morning when I was finally allowed home. Mum was given the rest of the week off to care for me but I just wanted to get back to school as fast as possible, since Justin told me Lisa had been excluded for 2 weeks.

Mum's house was a terrace house, in Greenok, Scotland. It was one of the ones in the very centre, it looked very tight and the front windows overlooked the sea. I liked it, the view was calming and the smell in the air was salty which reminded me of the beach. There was no front garden, it was just a tiny path leading up to the white front door. I opened the car and stepped out. I was wearing a pair of leggings and a grey jumper, they were Bonnie's because I hadn't unpacked my case yet. The cold air blew through my hair and it sent a shiver down my spine. Mum wiggled the key into the lock and pushed the front door open. Straight at the doorway was the staircase of the right and on the left was a mirror. I took a few steps forward, next to the stairs was the kitchen. I peered in the doorway, it was clean and everything was put away properly. Across from the kitchen door was the dining room, it just had a table with four chairs around it and a few photo frames on the wall. In the middle of those two doors was the living room, the two sofas were black leather and the rug was white. I turned around to face Mum who was hanging up her coat.
"Go upstairs, your rooms the first door on the right. I'll bring your stuff up," She offered and I grabbed the wall since there was no railing. The stairs curved when you were nearly at the top. There was three doors, two on the right and one on the left. I opened the door on the left, it was a bathroom which had matching tiles on the walls and floor. The second door on the right was Mum's room, it was big with a double bed and a wardrobe was right across the wall with a mirror on the front. I closed her bedroom door and opened mine. I liked it, it wasn't small but it wasn't huge. The bed was in the right corner against the wall, the duvet was white with a leopard print blanket over the top. Also against the wall on the right side was a desk and on the back wall was a window, the view from that was the back garden which was neatly organised.

Just then Mum burst through the door and I turned around, startled.
"Bonnie and Justin rang, they want to come round after school?" Mum asked, placing my holder on the desk and laying the suitcase on my bed.
"Let them," I whispered, sitting on the bed.
"Are you sure, you don't seem well," Mum ensured.
"I'm fine," I lied, "I just want to be alone for a while, I'm going to call everyone in Spain," I lied again.
"Okay, well I'm just downstairs if you need anything," Mum smiled and I heard her footsteps faid off down the stairs. I stood up and closed the door, the bag I took to school was on the desk and I took both mine and Bonnie's book out. I opened the front page, it was full of writing that I didn't understand. I put my pen on the paper and copied out exactly what was being written. It was just like drawing, copying what you see.
