***Lauras POV***
I walked into the school and thought about what could happen on my first day of my new high school. I'll be honest: I'm scared. I came from my old school, being top dog and now I'm at the bottom again. I'm not just at any bottom: I'm at the "New Kid" bottom. I don't know anybody coming into this. That could be good or bad. I'm thinking bad.
I saw the music room to my left, in the corner of the lobby. Ah, band. I was always in my happy place when it came to music and band. I had done chorus in my past and I still sing today. I'm more active in band with my trumpet. I even did color guard for a year. I'm glad to get back in it this year.
I walked over to the room and slowly opened the door and I felt like I was home. I got some looks from other students. I shrugged and went into the band directors office. I got a band locker, sheet music and my marching uniform. I couldn't wait to have this class.
I ventured into the crowded halls to fins my first class: Science. I was never really a fan of science. I don't know if it was my teachers, the subject itself or the people I had to work with. Let me tell you, my middle school science classes sucked. I hope they are better here.
It took me a while, but I finally got to my science room. I went to my teacher and told her that I was new and all that crap.
"Okay, well go sit next to Mr.Grier." She said pointing to the back of the room to a boy, surrounded by a ton of other boys. Oh God, what was I getting myself into...?
