Hayes drove us to the frozen yogurt shop and we talked the whole way there. When we got there I made my way to the back of the shop with Hayes in front of me. I had a shop like this back in my old town. I used to go there after school with a group of my friends.
I got what I used to get all the time and put it on the scale to pay. Hayes quickly cam up behind me and payed for my yogurt.
"What are you doing now?" I ask him. Hayes tries to hold in a laugh as he hands the money to the cashier. He ignores my question and grabs a spoon. I follow him to a table and glare at him jokingly. He breaks out into laughter and leans back in his chair. "Why are you laughing?" I whine.
"Your face and the way you said that at the counter was just so freaking funny!" Hayes said. His face was lit up and he looked so happy. I'm glad that by simply saying a few words, he gets so happy. I smiled and turned red. I looked down at my yogurt and shook my head.
We sat and talked for a while. I felt so comfortable around him.
"So what do you do in your free time?" I ask. Hayes sighs.
"Well, I don't a lot of time." He said annoyed.
"Okay, well what do you do that let's you have no time?" I ask.
"I play extremely competitive football." You have got to be kidding me. I thought.
"Really?" I asked. He nodded. "Well I get to be your halftime show at home games." I said with a smirk. He nodded and seemed a little upset. I assumed it was because he was sad that he didn't get a lot of free time. But I soon learned that was not the case.
