12:35 P.M.
~Terry~
"Aye, Sean, I'll be back to the hospital in a few. I had to run somewhere. If the doctor comes in, tell her to wait for me." I said as I got out the my new Cadillac Escalade.
I got a bigger truck to prepare when the love of my life and our baby girl has to come home. We have more room and won't be cramped up in my BMW.
It's been a month since I got the news about losing Amilyan. The doctors keep saying she doesn't have long and it could be very soon, but I'm not worried. They keep trusting in this medicine and tests, but they don't know nothing about the God I serve.
God got the last say so, so I'm not worried. He's going to take care of my wife and our baby.
"Terry, why are we at a funeral home? I'm ready to go see my baby." Mama Sheila said as I helped her out the truck and closed the door.
"Mama, I don't even know. Your husband told us to meet us up here." I said sighing as I locked the truck.
"The way my emotions are right now, I'm not mentally prepared to come here. I'm still upset that Jack left at a time like this." Mama Sheila said as she wiped her eyes.
Jack left two days ago to fly back to Atlanta to check on his wife and their child.
I could understand that he needs to check on his wife, but his sister and niece are fighting for their life at this moment.
I hugged Mama Sheila as we entered the funeral home. Since this attempted murder happened, I've had nothing but security around my family and I.
I've just been so irritated these past couple of days that I decided for them to have time off.
"Mr. Hightower, welcome to Parsons Funeral Home. I'm Tasha. You must be Mrs. Mitchell? Your husband has told me a lot about you." The lady said smiling as she shook our hands.
"Well, we haven't heard a lot about you. Where is my husband? Why are we here?" Mama Sheila asked as we shook Tasha's hand.
"Let's step into my office, so we can discuss details."
I looked at Mama Sheila with a confused expression as she held onto my arm as we walked into the lady's office.
As we walked in, Brent turned around with obituaries in his hand.
"Baby, I'm glad you two could make it. Please sit." Brent said as he slid the chair back so Mama Sheila could sit.
It was very odd since all he does is treat Mama Sheila like trash.
"Ok." She said as she sniffed.
We both had a rough morning. We both cried. I spent the night with Amilyan and woke up this morning to come to the townhouse to take a shower. I walked in and saw Mama Sheila break down in the kitchen. We both cried as we held each other.
Since the house is still being used as a crime scene, we decided to stay in the townhouse. Matter of fact, I ain't never going back to that house. Ever. My family and I will not move back into that house that was once joyful that turned into a painful memory.
I sat beside Mama Sheila as Brent sat across from us beside Tasha's desk.
"First of all, I would like to say I'm so sorry about the loss of your wife and daughter."
"Loss? They ain't dead. Who told you that?" I said as I sounded a lil angry.
Who the hell is this lady and why does she think my wife and child are dead?
