~Brandy~
"Mily, turned your head to the left, baby. For some reason your hair doesn't want to be gripped today." I said as Mily and I sat down in the family room while I did her hair.
Usually, Mily loves to watch her cartoon while I do her hair, but she seemed kind of off today. It's not usually like her.
"Mily, baby, did you hear me?" I asked as I grabbed a couple of rubberbands.
Amilyan covered her face and started to cry.
"Baby girl, what's wrong?" I said as I put the rubber bands to the side and faced her.
"You hate me. Daddy hates me."
My heart instantly broke as those words came out of her mouth. Before I could say anything, Mily ran towards the long hallway to the outside.
"Mily!" I said chasing after her.
Mily came running until she made it to her playhouse that Terry got made for her last year.
"Baby girl, talk to Mommy." I said as I finally caught up with her.
Mily shut her playhouse door and started crying.
"You and Daddy hate me."
"Baby girl, your daddy and I love you more than we love ourselves. We remind you and your sister everyday that we love you and are so grateful that God chose you to be our beautiful babies. Don't you ever think like that, baby girl." I said as I eased down on the grass and leaned on the playhouse door.
"Yes ma'am." Mily said sniffling.
"And where in the world did you learn to use the word hate?" I asked as I looked confused.
"The loud people were talking bad words to Daddy. I heard them say you hate me."
I had to control my tears. I know my family did not say those words. Mily was suppose to be in her room. Away from all of this mess.
"Baby girl, were you in your room?"
"Yes, but I wanted you and Daddy, so I sat on the steps."
"Awwww baby, please open the door for Mommy."
Mily sniffled as she opened the door and ran into my lap.
"We love you so much, baby. We would never hate you or Aleah, you got me? Don't you ever let that cross your mind again. Words can't explain how much you two mean to your father and I, ok?" I said as I kept kissing her.
Mily stared to smile and laugh.
"Mommy, we have to save some for daddy." Mily said as she kept kissing my cheek.
"Ok, ok. You still my pumpkin?" I said as I pretended to have a sad face.
"Always, Mommy. I love you." Mily said as she hugged me tight.
"I love you more, baby. I love you more." I said as I hugged her back.
Mily smiled as she patted my back.
"Can I stay out here and play with Fox and Ginger?"
"Fox and Ginger?"
"Yes, they are my imaginary friends. They just came from the North Pole with Santa." Mily said smiling so innocently.
