"Home sweet home, baby girl." I said as I picked Amilyan up.
Amilyan smiled as she saw balloons in the front yard and a gigantic sign.
WELCOME HOME,
BABY GIRL
"All of this is for me?" Amilyan asked smiling as she hugged my neck.
"Of course, baby. Let's go see what's going on in the new house." I said smiling as I kissed her cheek.
"How come y'all never do this for my birthday?" Sean asked as he got Amilyan's bags.
"You will be rewarded greatly in Heaven, Uncle." Amilyan said smiling as she blew a kiss at him.
I still feel dumbfounded. Ever since we came from the hospital, Amilyan will say little things about Heaven. I might have a talk with Brandy about it.
"I appreciate that, baby girl." Sean said smiling a little. He's been seeming a little off today. Fortunately, he hasn't talked us up a storm, but I'm still concerned.
The three of us walked in the house as I put Amilyan down.
"Wow, it's so beautiful. I love it here already." Amilyan said smiling as she looked around.
"Baby!" I said looking around.
"Who's baby?" Amilyan asked looking up.
"Your Mommy. I don't—"
"Check the backyard."
"Stupid! You wasn't supposed to say that yet." I said sighing as I playfully hit him.
"Well, my bad. You told me after you say—"
"Guys, where is my Mommy and Sissy? I wanna see them!" Amilyan asked as she smiled.
"Come on. Close your eyes, baby girl. Daddy and Uncle will guide you." I said as I took her hand and walked towards the backyard.
Amilyan closed her eyes as she held Sean and I's hand tightly.
I smiled as we finally made it to the backyard. It was covered with pink and white decorations with tables filled with family members.
"Open it."
Amilyan opened her eyes and smiled.
"MOMMY!" Amilyan said as she ran to Brandy.
Brandy smiled as she hugged Amilyan tightly.
"I'm so glad you're home, baby. Thank God." Brandy said as she hugged Amilyan.
"Me too, Mommy." Amilyan said smiling.
"Sissy!" Aleah said as she ran from my Mom's arms to Amilyan.
"Sissy!" Amilyan said as they both hugged each other as they fell in the grass.
Everybody laughed and smiled as Amilyan and Aleah enjoyed to be together again.
