"Hmm." I said as I moved around in the bed.

I couldn't sleep at all last night. I kept getting sharp pains back to back. Luckily, Terry slept like a baby.

I slowly got up as I went to the bathroom. I had the sudden urged to urinate.

"Please let mommy sleep, baby girl." I said as I rubbed my stomach.

Terry and I were supposed to close a deal on a home, but we lost it to another homeowner. I'm sick of trying to find the perfect family home for us. I didn't want to bring the baby back to the townhouse because I assumed we would have the house we've always wanted already. I'm just afraid that I would have to bring the baby back to a place that I don't feel like is a forever home.

After I got done using the bathroom, I washed my hands and felt a sharp pain again. This time it was the worst out of all of them.

"I can't take this." I said as I leaned on the sink for balance.

Out of nowhere, I saw something gushing out of me.

I know I didn't pee on myself.

The pain started to get worse and I held my mouth.

"My water broke." I said as I stepped back.

Of course, I knew this was apart of giving birth, but to see it happening is unbelievable.

I quickly wobbled to Terry's side of the bed.

"Baby! Baby!" I said as I shook him.

"Hm?" Terry asked groggily.

"Baby, don't panic, but my water broke." I said as I held my stomach.

"The sink broke?"

"No, my water broke, baby." I said as I tried to breathe.

"The shower?" Terry asked as he turned over.

"The baby is coming!" I said as I smacked him with the pillow causing him to fall out of the bed.

"The baby? THE BABY?" Terry said as he quickly got up.

"Yes, my water broke. I don't think I can take this pain." I said as I leaned on the bed.

"Ok, baby, come on. Sit down." Terry said as he quickly ran by my side.

I nodded as Terry help me sit down.

"Ok, remember those breathing exercises?" Terry asked as he bent down to my level.

"Yes."

"Ok, teach them to me. I'm freaking the hell out." Terry said breathing hard.

"No, no, we both can't panic, baby. Let's take deep breaths together, ok?" I said as I rubbed his face.

Terry and I started taking deep breaths until I got another sharp pain.

"Baby, you're contracting. Stay right there. I'm gonna go get the car and put it in the bag." Terry said as he ran downstairs.

"Doesn't he mean get the bag and put it in the car?" I said to myself as I rubbed my stomach.

While waiting for Terry, I heard him slip and fall going down the step multiple times. I knew he was going to be nervous, but not this nervous.

"Ok, baby, take one step at a time and focus on breathing." Terry said as helped me walk down the steps.

I nodded as held on to Terry tight.
