*Same Day*
7:15 P.M.
~Brandy~
"Bullshit, you ain't never want us together!" I heard shouting a little as I started to wake up.
I blinked a little as I noticed I was in the guest bedroom.
"How did I get here?" I said as I looked around confused.
I remember getting out the truck and seeing....never mind.
I got up slowly. I found my shoes that I had on ealrier and followed the trail of loud talkers.
"Terry, you still think I wanted you as my son-in-law? Huh? I mean, you are a good basketball player, but we all know who would've did my daughter justice." I heard my dad say.
"I wish this bit—" I heard Mama Pam started to say, but it got quiet once they saw me walk in.
"Baby, you good? How long were you awake?" Terry said as he rushed to me.
"I'm okay, baby. Did I not fall? I don't feel any pain." I said as I kissed his cheek.
"I caught you just in time, baby. Here come sit down. I was just about to throw your dumbass daddy the hell out my house." Terry said as he pulled a chair up to let me sit down.
I sat down carefully as I looked at my mom. She looked the same, but something seems so different about her. She's still so pretty, but I'm sure she's still that same weak woman that's afraid to leave her abuser.
"Baby girl, I've missed you so much." My mom said as she reached out for a hug, but I moved away a little.
I know that woman isn't expecting me to be all lovey dovey towards her. After hearing nothing but silence in about four years? Girl, please.
"Baby, what's wrong? You're not happy to see me? Baby, I've missed you so much."
"The same baby you left high and dry for almost four years? Lady, please!" I said shaking my head.
Terry started rubbing my back for comfort. He doesn't like when I'm stressed. Now that I'm pregnant with Baby Hightower number three, he's definitely not going to let nothing bother me.
"Lady? That's our mom, Brandy. We came all this way to see you."
I looked up to see Jack standing by Terry's dad. I couldn't believe it. This isn't the same guy who was my close brother. This couldn't be the same guy that was very cruel to me during the last few months that I stayed with that traumatic family.
"Why the hell are you here? Why are any of you here? I didn't call for a visit!" I said as I started getting loud.
"Baby, calm down. Please." Terry said as he rubbed my shoulders and kissed my forehead.
"No, Terry, I want answers! Why did you all abandon me? Huh? Why did you not check up on me? I could've died during birth, and not one of you checked up on me! Huh?" I said as I started crying.
"I think it's time for everyone to leave. Y'all ain't about to upset her again. I'll would be damned if y'all do." Terry said as he tried to keep his composure. I could tell that he started to get irritated and frustrated.
"This is upsetting me! I have so much anger and hurt from this! Terry, I think about this shit everyday!" I said as I got up.
"Baby, baby, look at me. I got you, ok? Let's go upstairs and la—"
