Cian with black eyes -->

Chapter 17

Cian’s Pov.

Leila…

I stared at her pale face as I carried her to my secret hiding place. Her delicate chest, moving up and down, as she breathed evenly. Her jeans were muddy and her shoes were tore at the edge. I leaned down, kissed her forehead lightly and then pulled away to see she awoke. She stretched delicately in my arms and looked up at me with sleep still lingering in her eyes. I walked to a deserted house and shifted her so I was carrying her with one hand. I opened the door and I shifted her so she was in front of me. She grabbed my neck for balance and tightened her legs around my waist. I gripped her thighs and walked in. I placed her on the couch and sat next to her. She placed her hands on my shoulder and placed her chin on the back of her hands. She smiled at me and I grinned back. Her bangs fell in front of her eyes and I reached up. I pushed them out of her face and pouted when they fell back. She laughed at me.

“Don’t even try. I’ve tried so many times, they have always fallen back,” she smiled. I got up and stood in front of her. I lifted her chin and kissed her on the lips softly.

“What do you want to eat?” I asked her, pulling away.

“Wait…,” She grabbed my neck and pulled me close. She stuck her thump in my mouth and felt along my front teeth as if looking for something. Then I realized she was looking for my fangs. I pulled away and laughed.

“Was it just a dream?” She asked me. I shook my head. She slumped back.

“I was kinda hoping it was,” she mumbled. I laughed.

"Why? You have a vampire who loves you. Who wouldn't want that?" I asked jokingly.

"I have a question though.”

"What is it?" I asked her.

"Would it be bad if you were team Jacob?" She asked giggling. I slammed my hand to my forehead and groaned. I chuckled and shook my head while smiling.

"You come up with the weirdest questions," I stated. She nodded. I pulled her up and kissed her softly on the lips.

"I repeat, what do you want to eat?" I asked when I pulled away. She shrugged.

"I'm not hungry, but does this house have a shower. I really want to get this mud off," she looked at me questioningly. I nodded and slipped an arm around her waist. I pulled her close and went up the stairs with her. I showed her the shower and watched her as she went and looked in awe at the white and gold master bathroom. I crossed my arms and leaned on one leg. I smirked at her. She saw me smirking and walked over to me. She stood on her tippy toes and kissed my lips hard, wiping the smirk off my face. I kissed back then pulled away.

"That’s not fair," I whispered, pressing my forehead against hers. She pulled away and pushed me out of the bathroom. She gripped the door handle and smirked at me.

"Life's not fair," she teased and winked. The door slammed shut and I smiled. That's my girl.
