Chapter 6
Cian's Pov.
My alarm clock went off, startling me from my meditation. At first, I wondered why it went off then I remembered I started school today, at Woodbridge High School. I got up groggily. Technically, I didn't sleep, at all. I walked into my bathroom and tore my clothes off. I didn't feel like being neat. I turned on the hot water and jumped into it. My skin was raw, but still pale, by the time I was done. I felt clean now that my hair was washed and my body was free of dirt. I walked out into my room, a black towel around my waist and looked in the small closet. I quickly grabbed the first thing I saw. Black skinny jeans with a black shirt. I pulled the clothes on and grabbed my converse. I pulled them on and grabbed a black hoodie. Before I could touch the doorknob, my door was wrenched open. Chad stomped in, passing me. I grimaced.
"Enter, please, I beg of you," I mumbled sarcastically and shut the door. Chad whipped around and pointed accusingly at me.
"Cian, just shut up," he ordered. I sighed in frustration.
"Look, I really don't want to see your face this early in the morning, so the quicker I get you out, the happier I'll be. So, what did I do? Or what do you want?" I asked him.
"Mom and Dad are coming home because I told them you weren't listening to me," he growled. I glared at him.
"Well, you do realize that it's your fault, don't you?"
"It's not my fault. If you haven't been so defiant to me, this wouldn't have happened."
"If you didn't tell mum and dad, this wouldn't have have happened," I hissed. Chad threw his hands in the air out of frustration.
"How is it my fault? I'm just doing my job as an older brother," he scolded, icily, letting his hands drop into fists.
"You're not doing your job because you aren't my real older brother!" I yelled.
"We're both purebloods, we are brothers, I thought you would be smart enough to figure that out by now but I guess not."
Chad pushed past me, slamming me into a wall. I slid to the floor with shaking anger. Suddenly, Lissa appeared in front of me. That was her power. She could pop up anywhere she'd like to. I looked up at her. She smiled, showing her fangs, and patted my head softly. She disappeared and slowly, I got up. I flipped my hair out of my eyes and then it fell back. I decided to leave it and looked at the time. 7:02am. Shit! I was late. Classes started at 7:30 and I haven't eaten breakfast yet.
20 minutes later
I was walking to the school and my stomach was full of blood. I licked my lips remembering the sweet taste of her blood. The thought of blood made my fangs come out so I quickly thought of pencils to reverse the effect. My backpack was slung over my shoulder and my head was bowed. I knew people knew I was the new kid. I could read they're minds.
"Is that a new kid? He looks so... gothic. Is he friends with Blade and Leila and them?"
Those were the general questions. My head jerked up. Leila went to this school? I groaned softly. I hope I don't have any classes with her. I was embarassed about my random kiss or you could say random kisses. I waited near the school in a dark corner. I glanced at the goth guy waited for someone. I saw the girly girl from the concert talking with her friends in a tight circle. I wondered what her name was. Curiously, I slipped into one of her friends mind's.
"Omigawd I want to be just like Grace. She's so pretty and funny and...,"I quickly slipped out of her mind. Her preppy-ness gave me a headache. So it was Grace, hmmm. I suddered, slightly, feeling her presence. I saw her walking towards the guy and noted Grace pointing at her and laughing. I growled at her. Who does she think she is? The boy whispered to Leila and Leila laughed as the bell rang. A positive and a negtive in perfect harmony. The goth boy and Leila walked together, closely. Almost too close. I blinked and shook my head. Stop being jealous! You don't like her. I growled at myself and walked quickly into the school before they could see me. I walked into the hidden office and waited for them to notice me.
"Yes, young man?" The old lady asked me.
"I'm new here and need my schedule," I said, clearly.
"Oh, ok, hun, what's your name?" She asked, turning around in her swivel chair.
"Uh, Cian, Cian Sinner," I muttered. She was quiet while she looked through the files. She picked up an orange one.
"Ahh, yes, Cian Sinner." She reached into the file and pulled out a schedule. She handed it to me.
"Do you need help with it?" She asked.
"Umm, no, I'm sure I'll figure it out, thank you though."
"Mmm Hmm, no problem honey, have a good day!" She yelled when I walked out of office. I looked at the schedule. Mrs. Welish Extended Math per. 01 room G4. I walked into G hall and saw the teenager that was with Leila earlier walking towards me. He gave me an odd look then smiled.
"Hi, you must be new. I'm Blade," he said, extending his hand towards me. I took it in vain and shook a little hard.
"I'm Cian," I let go of his hand.
"Cian? That's an awesome name!" He laughed. I laughed too, although strained. I glanced at the clock on the wall.
"I got to go to first period. So, I'll see you later?" Blade asked me, watching me carefully. There was someone off about him.
"Umm, yea totally," I smiled weakly. He walked past me.
"Cool, cool" he mumbled. I chuckled softly, making it puns like a growl. I searched forward and heard Mrs. Welish talking to the language arts teacher, Mr. Conner.
"Uh, Mrs. Welish?" I interrupted.
"Yes?" She asked me.
"I'm new and my first period is your class."
"Ahhh yes, I've been waiting for you, here come with me." She turned around and waved me forward while walking forward. I followed quietly. The final bell rang as she walked into a classroom. I waited outside.
"Good morning class! I have a surprise for you," I heard her say. The students groaned. I went stiff as I recognized a groan. Leila was in my first period. Fuck! I yelled in my head. I breathed deeply and tried to compose myself. Keep it together, man. You can do this! Luckily, I managed to stop my fangs from coming out.
"It's not what you think. We have a new student," Mrs. Welish continued. The students groaned again. I devised a plan. I was going to pretend I didn't know her. I didn't want to but it would be safer for both of us if I did.
"Aww, come on, Cian, get in here," Mrs. Welish ordered. Slowly, I stepped in and looked at the class.
