Chapter 9

Leila's Pov. 

After Blade dropped me on my front porch, and I literally mean drop, I stumbled inside only to hear the sounds of a lamp crashing and stomping down the stairs. My father stomped down the stairs and took no notice of me when he grabbed the car keys and stomped out the door.

"I'm done with this shit" I heard him growl before walking outside. Not to soon after my mom ran down the stairs and followed him. I sighed. My life has always been hectic like this so I was use to it. I slowly walked up to my shared room. Yes, I shared a room, and with my brother at that. When he brought girls home, I would have to sleep on the couch, not because he would force me but because I didn't want to awake to any... sounds. His part of the room is always messy.

"Hey! Little sis!! You're home!" Luke yelled when I walked in. I took notice that a girl was there and under the sheets. I stopped, turned around and walked back out, shutting the door behind me. I was going to go to Blade's house and sleep there. Luckily, I had a outfit there just in case this does happen. I walked down the stairs and grabbed my car keys.

"I'm leaving" I said simply to my mom who was crying on the couch.

"What? Wait what happen to helping your mom out in a time of-" she didn't get to finish because I slammed the door shut, cutting her off. I got into my car and stuck the key in the keyhole. I turned it and the engine roared to life. I pulled out of the drive way and drove down the road. I parked in front of Blade's house and turned off the engine. I got out and walked to the door. I knocked and the door opened.

"Leila, sweetie, how are you? How was school?" Blade's mom said letting me in.

"I'm fine and school is school".

"Blade is upstairs" she smiled and pointed up the stairs.

"Thanks" I nodded towards her and ran up the stairs. I opened the door to find Blade laying on his bed, with one hand behind his head. The other was holding a book. Music softly played through the speakers. 

"Ok, Your mom is too nice" I said and collapsed next to him. Blade was surprised at first when he saw me then closed his eyes and smiled weakly. 

"Uh I know you've told me before". He opened his eyes. 

"I never thought the day would come when your parents were fighting and your brother had a girl over. That's a double whammy" He laughed. I punched him hard. 

"It's not funny" I said looking away with a smile pulling at the corners of my mouth. I glanced at him to see him nodded slowly. 

"You can sleep in the bed, if you want" Blade said when we were finish with our homework. I nodded and slowly got my outfit out of his closet. It was black skinny  jeans and a black shirt. plain and simple.Blade threw me a shirt of his. I pushed him out the door and quickly changed into it. He knocked and I opened the door. I turned around and jumped on his bed. 

"Bah" I mumbled into the pillow. It smelled like him. I smiled then scrambled off the bed.

"Ahhhhh!!!" I said when I fell off the bed. Blade looked over the edge of the bed. He tilted his head and raised an eyebrow. Then he blushed. I looked up at him and looked confused. Then I realized he could see my underwear. I scrambled up from the floor and pulled his shirt down further. I blushed. 

"Ehhh" I said rubbing the back of my neck, still blushing. 

"They're striped?" Blade asked himself, then I realized he was talking about my underwear. My face redden even more when I got angry. I slapped him hard across the face. He fell to the floor and his cheek was really red. He quickly got up and rubbed his cheek. 

"Ow" he said. I crossed my arms.

"Hmph" I said turning away. Blade sighed and shut off the lights. I climbed onto his bed and pulled the sheets over me. Next to the bed, Blade laid down on the sleeping bag he brought up. 

"Night, Leila" he whispered.

"Night" I said as I drifted to sleep.
