Chapter 3

Leila's Pov.

"Hello," he said in a silky voice. I almost fainted. If the counter wasn't holding me up, I would have fallen

"Hi-i," I studdered. He stood up and offered his seat to me. I gladly accepted it and he moved to my previous spot.

"What are you doing here alone?" he asked.

"How do you know I'm alone?"

He paused to think then laid a heart-breaking smile.

"I saw your quarrel with your friend," he frowned slightly.

"Why do you speak like that?"

"Like what?" He asked, confused.

"Like a grown-up," I said, softly. Somehow, he still managed to hear me.

"Oh, I didn't realize I was annoying you with my vocabulary," he said and winked at me, with a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth. I stared a him.

"So, what's your name?" He asked politely.

"Leila, Leila Vladmir,"I said and tore my gaze from him. I bore holes into his drink instead.

"Would you like a sip?" he asked. I gulped and realized I was parched. Slowly, I nodded. He picked it up and handed it to me. I took it and took a small sip. The suspious liquid soothed my throat yet burned it at the same time.

"What is it?" I asked, setting it down. He laughed and smiled playfully at me.

"What will you do to me if I don't tell you?" he asked, the smile still on his face.

"I would force you to tell me," I said calmly. His smile dropped and he raised his hands aove his shoulders in a sign of surrendering.

"Whiskey, it was whiskey," he admitted, putting down his hands. I smirked then I realized I didn't even know his name.

"What's your name?" I quizzed. He raised an eyebrow.

"Cian. My name is Cian," he said simply.

"No last name?"

He shook his head and laughed.

"I'm sorry, it's Cian Sinner. Yes, I know my last name is Sinner. Weird, right?" He rehtorically asked, laughing. I nodded, laughing with him. I stopped when I got a text message from my mom.

"Where are you?" it read. I looked at the time on my phone. I groaned. 11:37pm on a school night. I had to be home by twelve. I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Something wrong?" Cian asked. I looked at him.

"Nah, just my mom, being a mom, telling me to be home by twelve. I don't have a car so I have to walk, be late and get yelled at by her," I said casually and shrugged it off. I felt an arm slip around my waist and pull me up from the chair. I felt Cian's cool breath on my neck as he whispered in my ear, making me shiver slightly.

"I have a car," he whispered. With that, I felt myself being pulled away from the bar and out the door. When I got outside a few drunk guys whistled at me, I crunched up my nose is disgust. Then Cian did something random and unexpected. Right in front of the guys, he grabbed me by my shoulders and pulled me close. His lips found mine and I was flying. His hands moved down and gripped my waist. Anywhere he touched my skin felt like it was on fire. His tongue plunged into my mouth and claimed it his. When he finally pulled away, I was breathing heavily and he just looked at the guys and said:

"Sorry boys, she's taken," and pulled me to his car. He opened the passenger door for me and climbed in. I waited until he got in to ask the question that I've been holding in.

"What the hell was that about?"

"What the hell was what about?" he asked, inoccently.

"THE KISS!!" I yelled softly at him.

"Why? You want another one?" He smirked.

"No!"

"Awww, come on, don' t tell me you didn't enjoy it 'cause then you'll be a liar." I said nothing in return.

"And it's not like we'll ever see each other again so we might as well enjoy ourselfs," he continued. I was trying to decided if he is a genius or insane. Before I could protest, he was already leaning over and kissing my lips quickly and passionately. My will broke down and I kissed back. All too soon, he pulled away and leaned back in his seat. Again I was breathless. He started the car and pulled out of the parking space. The drive to my house was awkward and quiet. Execpt for the occasional kissing at red lights. I gave him directions and he followed the winding roads until we were parked in front of my house. I looked at the time. 11:52pm. I was going to make it home before curfew. Cian leaned over and kissed me softly on the lips.

"Good night Leila," he said against my lips.

"Good night," I muttered, pulling away and opening the car door. I stepped out but Cian caught my wrist. I looked back at him.

"Be safe," he said, staring into my eyes. I nodded and he let go. I closed the door and walked up to my porch. He pulled away and sped off. I watched him disappear into the night then turned to my front door. I grabbed the handle and turned it. The door swung open and I stepped into the dark musty house.
