Chapter 13

Leila's Pov.

I walked out of the school and sighed. It was Wednesday and two more days of torture until the weekend. I noticed Cian walking towards his car. My heart thumped. I gasped. Could this be love? I growled. No. I've always been the heart breaker, not the heart giver. I growled towards Cian. I'm playing hard to get now. Game on. With my new attitude and self esteem, I walked towards my house in bitch mode. I stomped upstairs and looked in my mom's closet. I grabbed her knee high black stilettos boots and walked to my shared room. I opened the door and cheered when I didn't see my brother. This would take some time and I didn't need him around pestering me about anything. I dropped the boots on my bed and went into my walk-in closet. I picked out the sluttish dress I saw and placed in on my bed. There. I have tomorrow's outfit picked out. I placed my hands on my hips and imaged myself in the outfit. My phone rang, snapping my out of my thoughts. I scrambled to pick it up. I looked at the caller ID. I pressed the green call button and brought it up to my ear.

"Hi Blade," I said into the speaker. 

"Hey, wanna hang out?" He asked. I grinned. 

"Sure, I wanna hang out," I said shyly. 

"Cool. I'll pick you up in 15, alright?"

"Yea.”

 I hung up the phone and pulled on my black boots, not the stilettos. I reapplied my make up and walked downstairs, where I waited for Blade. 

Blade's Pov.  

I put my phone in my pocket when she hung up. I stared down at the ground from my roof. I had 15 minutes. The average time for a human to walk from one house to another that's a half a mile away. I unfurled my wings. They're black and sleek like a raven's. They were at least 7 feet above my head when I got them ready to fly. I flew off my roof and zoomed to Leila's house, diving between trees. I paused over her house and landed silently on her roof. I could hear her heartbeat downstairs. I jumped off her roof, hovering in the air and looked at the time. I still had 4 minutes. I dropped down to the ground in her neighbor's yard. I had to force my wings to go away and stay hidden as tattoos. Instantly, my shirt was sewing itself together. All of my shirts were magical. They had to. I was a fallen angel and if I walked around with two slits in my shirt on my back, people would wonder. I walked towards Leila's house when my shirt was done sewing itself. I rang the doorbell and waited. I heard her rush to open the door and finally it creak open. I saw her pale face first. She blinked and time seemed to slow down. Her eyelashes made their way down slowly and then back up. They framed her beautiful blue eyes. Then I noticed she didn't have her usual red contacts in. I grinned. Her nose was pointed up slightly at the end and she made me go crazy when she wrinkled it in disgust. My purple eyes stopped at her lips. They looked soft and warm. I wanted to grab her and kiss her. I grinned wider. She was dressed in black skinny jeans and a plain black shirt. Her hair was pushed to the side and her bangs covered most of her left eye. Her hair was black, smooth to the touch, like my wings. It curved, framing her face. 

"Hi Leila," I said, almost breathlessly. Her beauty took my breath away. 

"Hi," she said softly, looking into my eyes. I had to fight the urge to kiss her again. I offered her my hand and she accepted it. I pulled her close and shut the door behind her. 

"So, where do you wanna go?" I asked. She thought for a little, then smiled.

"Ice cream," she said finally. I laughed and started to pull her towards town. 

"Ice cream it is," I smirked.
