Chapter 11 

Leila's Pov.  

I awoke to the smell of bacon.  

"Mmmm," I hummed, sitting up. Blade, who I thought was on the floor, sat up next to me.  

"Smells good," he murmured. I looked at him with groggily eyes and then realized he was sleeping with me. I jumped off the bed in surprised. 

"WHOA!" I yelled and backed into a wall. Blade laughed then smiled at me.

"It was uncomfortable on the floor. I hope you don't mind, I mean it is my bed," he smirked. My shoulders slumped and I put my head down. 

"It's ok. You just surprised me." Blade laughed again. 

"I can tell, sorry," he grinned. I gave him the "OK" hand sign and grabbed my outfit. I walked into the bathroom and closed the door. I pulled Blade's shirt over my head and it fell to the ground. I got dressed and brushed my hair with a spare brush Blade had for me. When I was done, I walked out to see Blade wasn't done getting dress. He was shirtless. 

"Oh! Ummm," My words stumbled.  

"Hmm?" Blade said turning around. When he saw me, he quickly grabbed a t-shirt and pulled it on. But I already saw his chest. I was holding onto the bathroom doorknob so tightly that my knuckles were turning white. He had a 8-pack. Great. Freaking great. First Cian now Blade? I couldn't win!  

"Ugh!!!" I grunted. I threw my hands in the air in exasperation, dropping Blade's shirt in the process. Blade walked over and picked it up. He threw it in his hamper basketball style.  

"Hey, Why the "Ugh!!!"?" He asked. I waved him away. 

"You wouldn't understand," I murmured. Blade rubbed his neck.

"Yeah probably not," He laughed. I laughed softly then became quiet. Blade became quiet too. Then there was an awkward silence. I smiled and walked around him. I opened the door and skipped downstairs with Blade close behind. The smell of bacon overpowered my nose. I walked into the kitchen, seeing Elena.

"Morning," I said to her. 

"Morning sweetie," She replied. I sat at the table which already had pancakes and orange juice set out. I helped myself to a pancake and a cup of juice. Blade sat next to me and helped himself to five pancakes and a cup of juice. I stared at him in awe as he stuffed his mouth with pancakes, while I slowly ate mine. He was done with all of them before I finished my one. When I finished mine he gathered my plate, his plate and his cup and put them in the sink. He grabbed two strips of bacon and handed me one. I, again, stared in awe as he stuffed the whole bacon strip in his mouth and swallow. I don't think he chewed. I bit mine slowly and chewed each piece. I finally finished mine and stood up. Blade stood up too. I went back up in his room and grabbed my backpack and my black boots. I slipped my boots on and slung my backpack over my shoulder. I headed back downstairs and found Blade waiting for me, ready at the door. He opened it and stepped aside to let me pass.

"Bye Elena!" I yelled to Blade's mom. 

"Have a nice day at school, you two!" She yelled back. I walked outside and Blade followed me, shutting the door behind him. We walked to school in silence. 

When we got there, school was just letting in. I saw Cian with Grace and I clenched my teeth. Blade noticed my tense presence and followed my eyes to Cian. He quickly grabbed my hand, pulling me close but making us appear like a couple. Somehow I felt safe, even though I knew it was an act. We walked past Cian and I swear I saw his eyes flash black in a predator way when he saw Blade holding my hand. We walked into school together, hand in hand.
