"Remember who you are and what you stand for!" The woman said, straightening her son's clothes.

"No matter what anyone tells you, drugs are not cool! And it's always ok to come home at a good, reasonable time!" She dusted off the front of the boy's suit. "Be smart, and remember not to-"

"Mom." Sicheng laughed, stopping the woman. "It's just a school dance, nothing crazy."

"I know! I'm just being a parent." She sighed, placing her hands on her hips.

"You can relax, you're one of the best." He smiled, pulling her in for a hug. "But it's Yuta, he's not going to let me get into any trouble."

Something about that sentence didn't sit right with the woman. "Remind me, who got you sent to detention?"

Realizing his mistake, Sicheng's eyes widened. "Technically that was my own fault, not his."

"Mhmm." She hummed, fixing her son's hair.

She stopped for a moment, taking a step back to look at the boy. "My baby is all grown up."

The woman wiped away invisible tears, making her son giggle. "It seems like just last week you were waddling around in diapers."

"Don't worry mom." The boy said, giving his sentimental mother one more hug. "I'm still your kid and I always will be."

Hearing the doorbell ring, both of them turned to it. One of them very nervous, and her son very excited.

With small steps, she approached the door, unlocking it, and opening it to reveal a smiling Japanese.

The first thing Yuta laid eyes on was his boyfriend, who was returning the affectionate look. "You look amazing."

"Thank you." The Chinese laughed, admiring the older. "I was about to say the exact same thing to you."

And it was true. Yuta looked striking in his suit, which was bought from one of the most lavish shops around. His mother had spared no expense for the night. It was her way of apologizing for her earlier behavior.

"I bet that suit could pay off my whole mortgage, and I'd still have cash left over." The woman whispered, eyeing the visitor. She watched the two interact for a moment before looking at the clock on the wall.

"Oh my! You two better get going or you're going to be late!" She exclaimed, ushering the boys out of the house. But before they could get too far, she remembered something, and pulled them back inside. "Wait! I've got to get pictures!"

Sicheng sighed as he watched his mother run off in search for the missing camera. "I knew she'd make this more difficult than it had to be."

"I don't mind." Yuta sighed, wrapping his arms around the younger from behind. "They're memories. Someday when we're old and gray, we can look back and remember our younger days."

"How do you know I won't find some smarter, richer man and run away with him?" The Chinese teased, leaning into the older.
