"It isn't that bad if you concentrate much and let go of the 'it's hard attitude'." Studying with or more like tutoring Roy was downright toilsome. He would often drift out in the middle of some discussion frustrating me as he would plainly say that he understands nothing.

"You now sound like Mrs. Walt. Be a teacher in the future and serve the world." There was a mischievous glint in his eyes as his lips curled up to a smirk. I smacked his head earning a fake growl from Roy.

"You are been difficult now. Remind me to never have you in my room when I have exams due." I gave up and closed the chemistry book laying on the bed infront of me. I huffed out in annoyance and moved away from Sawyer who was situated right before me looking at me amused. I laid my head on my pillow closing my eyes to get ride of the fatigue in my muscles.

"We have studied enough you know. One hour of staring into those chemically made words isn't easy." He said making me smile while my eyes were still closed.
I felt Roy shift from my bed causing me to open my eyes and glance at him. He was standing next to my dressing mirror holding a photo frame of my younger version with my parents. I was smiling goofy at the camera while my parent had their lips on my cheeks in a kiss. That picture captured one of the best moments of my life, when life was not harsh to me.

"You haven't changed much." Roy remarked his eyes still trailing on the image. "You got the looks of your mom." He turned around and pointed to my mom whose face was almost obscured by her blonde hair. She was pretty, way more prettier than one could imagine. I might have had her eyes but my hair was nothing like her's. My brown hair was similar to my dad's. "I haven't seen her around, why?" He asked returning to his former place.

"Because she isn't around." I blinked back the tears that were making my eyelids heavy but a stubborn one cascaded down my cheeks making my hands to quickly reach out to rub it off.

"Am sorry.." Roy who must have noticed my tears and realized the situation spoke softly. He pulled me by the hand after he stood up and dragged me towards the door. "We will go for a walk, sitting here will be boring." He opened the door and dragged me down the corridor.

I said nothing till we stepped out of the house into the cold wind. I shivered getting conscious of my shot sleeve shirt as Roy led me down the dim road. I had no idea where we were off hence asked, " you aware that it's seven? Where are you taking me?"

He offered me a smile before clutching my hand, "Just be patient with me honey. You will like the place." We walked for ten more minutes until we stopped by a small shop. "Two chocolate flavoured ice cream." Roy spoke to the old man managing the ice shop without consulting me about the flavour of my choice but to my utter surprise, chocolate was my favourite flavour.

"How did you know I would like the chocolate flavour more than the strawberry or even vanilla?" I licked my icecream off the cone as goosebumps rose on my skin due to the combination of the cold wind and icecream.

"Simple, most- if not all- girls love chocolate. Feeling cold? You could have worn something heavier than this t-shirt." Roy rubbed my shoulder introducing heat to my body.

"Yah the weather is too chilly to handle, if you had given me the time I would have put on jacket." I shrugged devouring the icecream amidst my shiver.

Roy huffed in amusement shrugging his jacket off and dropping it over my shoulders. "Jeez. I don't like blame games so here have my jacket before you freeze to death." I slipped my hands into the arms of the jacket, blocking the cold wind that had been nipping on my skin before.

"We are finally here." Roy sighed in relief and dragged me inside an amusement park. The park was almost deserted except for the few couples that were hanging out by the benches. Spotting the couples that stood by the carousel ride kissing fiercely while holding into each other tightly resurfaced a memory of Sawyer's lips against mine. I tightly closed my eyes trying to erase the not so pleasant memory. 'It was pleasant.' I tugged at my hair earning a weird look from Roy.

"You fine?" He asked in concern while he slipped his hand into mine, interlacing our fingers. I stared down at our connected hands but nonetheless nodded my head in affirmation. "When was the last time you have been to an amusement park." He wondered out.

Last time. That was years back and the last ride was the ferris wheel with my parent. The memory flashed infront of my eyes and I could spot myself sitting inside the ferris wheel and shouting out of my lungs when it rotated three sixty degrees with a great speed. My mom clutching my hand having an airy laugh while my dad shook his head from his seat shouting "women" causing my mom to topple in laughter.

"Hey easy there." I didn't realise I was crying till Roy handed me a tissue.

"Sorry I got carried away." I muttered feeling embarrassed for tearing infront of Roy while sniffing and clearing the salty liquid that had claimed a territory on my cheeks.

"It's fine.." he placed his hands on my shoulders propelling me forward. "Let's get tickets. We should have fun." Roy had an arguement with the attendant who was suppose to be selling us the tickets because she refused to sell any ticket since they would be closing in an hour.
"That's ridiculous. It's a freaking hour and not a minute or a second. Think logically." The lady gave him the ticket with a frown so as to get ride of him.

"We should start with the trampoline?" Roy drugged me and I stopped by the trampoline.

"That's so Kiddish." I hesitated but Roy stubbornly shook his head disagreeing with me.

"If we act mature do you think we will have fun?" I agreed with him and we ended up inside the trampoline. I could feel adrenaline rush as we jumped up and down, Roy's strength causing the trampoline to throw us in the air. This was way more fun than I thought it would be.

The last ride we had was the rollercoaster. Roy's seat and mine were attached to each other giving me the opportunity to grasp his hand as the rollercoaster reeled  from the steep incline making me shout until my throat went dry.

"I think it will be fair to call this my best day of the week." Roy remarked when we stopped by the door of my house.

"Thank you. I think this is way more than the best day of the year for me." I didn't think there would come a day as good as this particular one. This was the day over two years that I felt the feeling of true peace, enjoyment and happiness reside in my heart. Roy smiled as he closed the distance between us and wrapping his arms tightly around my figure. The hug was different from the ones we usually had, this time he held me for seconds as I laid my head comfortably against his chest.

"We both tired and hell to top it all tomorrow is a school day. It's eight twenty." Roy stepped away from me breaking the hug.

"Exam day too. I will blame you if I end up missing class and over sleeping" I added earning a weird groan from him that made me burst out into laughter. Slipping Roy's jacket off, I handed him ready for us to part ways.

"Then expect me to break into your house before the the sun opens its eyes." Roy threw his jacket on his shoulder and leaned in to place a feathery soft kiss on my forehead causing my stomach to flip.

I watched him walk away, his huge back facing me. I couldn't fight the smile that unknowingly crept on my lips as I stared at his figure that was fading away from my vision.
