Lucien's POV
I followed her into the house
"Val what are you doing? You can't have your boyfriend over." Londyn whisper yelled
"He wants to ask dad permission to continue our relationship."
"Crack? Is that what you're on?" she asked
"Is that the family catch phrase?" I asked
"Wait what if he asks if I'm dating someone? You know I can't lie to dad."
"Well you have to tell him anyways since I don't wanna get yelled at alone." Louise smiled
"Everyone is in the basement." she said
"Let's go Lucy." she grabbed my hand
"Who the fuck is that Val?" I saw two guys glaring daggers
"I'm her boyfriend. I'm assuming you're her brothers."
"You're not allowed to date. What are you thinking?"
"Piss off Liam!" princess growled
"Dad is gonna be livid." the other one said very monotone
"I'm aware but he was very adamant on asking dad for his blessing. Also my relationship doesn't concern you because if mom gave me permission it automatically overrides whatever you have to say."
"Whatever, dad can override mom."
"Ignore those assholes you have bigger fish to fry." she told me
We made our way downstairs and I felt less nervous. They were drinking and enjoying their poker game
"Why the hell weren't you at school?" I assumed her dad asked
"I didn't feel well so I left before I put someone in the hospital. Consider my deed a civil service." She joked
"Where did you go you weren't on the water?"
"I was taking a nap and my boyfriend's house." she said nonchalantly
"I assume that answers my next question." he said and sent me a look that could freeze over hell
"Family this is my boyfriend Lucien Toussaint. Lucy this is family." she introduced
"Toussaint as in the pharmaceutical company?" someone with a thick Russian accent spoke
"Yes my parents own that company." I told them
"I hope you're nothing like your parents." Russian guy spoke
"I do too. I'd never want to be anything like them."
"Good answer. Now answer this, why do you want to date my daughter?" her father asked
"I don't have a good answer. Something draws me to her. It could be her fiery personality, her smile or laugh but I just can't get enough of her." I answered honestly
"And you like him?" he asked Louise
"Yeah surprisingly I feel the same way. He treats me well and for the first time I feel normal around someone who isn't family or Amelia. He makes me smile and laugh. I like the person I am around him."
"So why come tell me you're dating?" he seemed more confused than anything
"I didn't want to sneak around like there's something to hide. I adore Louise and I want you to be aware and hopefully approve of us." I told him
He put his cards down and thought about it for far too long in my opinion
"Fine." He forced out
"Fine?"
