Liam's POV
It's been two weeks since camp started and one week since they misplaced my ADHD medication.
Super fucking professional!
My head is a fucking mess and Lucas is acting like a dick. I've been messing up a lot during practice but it's only because coach isn't clear when he assigns a drill or when I'm passing the ball and 8 people are yelling commands at me I it's hard to focus.
They basically shunned me from the popular group. I wouldn't care if my brother wasn't apart of them.
He takes soccer too seriously. He genuinely gets pissed off when I make mistakes. I get it's the only thing that makes him feel normal but people who try to hard are annoying.
Why do I have to feel like a freak so he can feel normal.
I just wanna go home
"Hey Liam. What are you doing out here?" Sophie asked
"Just avoiding people." I hinted
"Oh, I'll go then. Sorry." she caught on
'Stop being a dick' I tell myself
"It's fine Sophie. What's up with you?"
"I don't wanna be in the cabin at the moment."
"Are the other girls being mean? Just tell my sister or Zoey."
"No I'm just frustrated with their decisions."
"It's their life not yours. Just be a good friend and be there for them."
"I am being a good friend. A bad friend wouldn't warn them to do better."
"So what? How could you possibly know better than them? You're 14. When your brother warns you about boys do you listen?"
"Yeah"
"Really? Then what are you doing here with me? If I kissed you, would you resist?"
"No"
"And if I did more than kiss you, would you let me?" I trailed my finger on her thigh
"Uhm I don't know" she shivered
"Let's say we did and I was an absolute asshole to you afterwards. Would Lucien tell you I told you so or comfort you?"
"He'd confort me then kick your ass."
"What about your friends? Were they encouraging about this?"
"Not at first but I really like you so they supported me."
"So why can't you give them the same treatment?"
"It's different."
"Look high school isn't middle school. It's hard to find good genuine friends who are there for you. Grow up and appreciate the friends you have. You're a freshman so you haven't had much character development, but my advice to you is think about other people and how they feel instead of yourself. Because you're being extremely selfish and mean to your friend."
"You're very harsh."
"I'm being honest which is what your friends aren't being. They're too kind to you."
"I have a personal question."
"What?"
"Do you think we could ever be a thing?"
"Not at all. If I'm being honest I wasn't interested in you from the start but I didn't want to hurt your feelings. You're very pretty but I don't care for your personality. I've seen from your interactions with Jonah that you don't respect boundaries and you take advantage of the fact that your brother and friends will defend you to be a bitch to people.
