Chapter 58

Louise's POV

I feel awful about what I made Londyn do to Lucien. He has every right to be mad. Londyn was annoyed too because I didn't give her any choice in the matter but she forgave me when she saw how sad I was. She's a great sister and I've really taken her for granted.

She came up with an idea to write out an apology instead of a gift because it would mean more. So I made something from the heart but I also took out a small loan from her to buy him a gift. Since I didn't get him a birthday present and tomorrow is his graduation I decided to get him a big gift that'll also count as a going away present.

It was hard to figure out what to get him because what do you get someone with money? Roman suggested I'd get something he'd mention he wanted even if it was just once.

Then it dawned on me

So that's the story of how I came to have a male puppy. He has no name as of right now because that honor should go to the owner.

When he called me I lied so he wouldn't hear the commotion this little guy was causing.

He's a calm puppy but dad was yelling about us not asking permission and that we should've talked to Maddox first. Which is all true but this was an in the heat of the moment type of thing.

"Maddox is on the phone. Tell him what you did!" mom handed her phone

"Can Lucien hear us?" I asked

"No, what did you do?"

"I got him a pupper!" I confessed

"You little shit!" he sighed in annoyance before continuing

"Make sure your boyfriend takes care of the rat and I won't complain. If I have to take care of it or the mutt destroys something I'll personally be billing you." he said

"Deal!"

He hung up after and dad went on a rant about how he's gonna kill Roman for driving his car. He yelled at me and Londyn for suggesting the idea of borrowing his car. So all in all last night was okay cause I got to play with a dog

Morning

Lucien's graduation is in a couple hours so I'm wearing a two piece dress

"Woah! You aren't seriously going in that?"

"No this is my bedroom outfit then I'll switch to my hallway outfit." I answered my twin sarcastically

"You look really pretty but Lucien's parents are gonna be there. You'll make a bad first impression. They're really judgmental and will look for any reason to disapprove of you. Lucien doesn't care for his parents approval but they'll judge and insult you to get to him. I suggest something more modest yet still powerful like a jumpsuit. I have a whole bunch. You're also wearing white to represent innocence and purity." she said while tossing outfits on my bed

"How do you know more about my future in laws than me?" I asked while stripping

"Sophie explained it to me so that I could prepare you to face her parents. She was positive Lucien wouldn't and she didn't want you getting blindsided."

"Well what did she tell you?"

"Put that one on. Well they hate Lucien for some unknown reason so she's certain they're gonna take jabs at you to get to him. You cannot under any circumstance react. I know you can't control it but try your best to take the high road. It's like how those mafia wives pretend their husbands don't cheat on them. Smile and be respectful. They will be very direct because that's how they are so wear your accomplishments on your sleeve. Be conscientious about how you answer their questions. They won't like you and that's not your fault. All you're trying to do is give them no real reason to hate you."
