Chapter 9
Latasha's POV
After Kaylaa receives the food that her Mom ordered, Prince finally arrives. He came dressed in half Batman and half Joker costume. I thought it was a kinda weird, yet interesting concept.
"Why are you dressed like you have an identity crisis?" Kaylaa insults.
"I know I'm half Batman and half Joker. Your costume doesn't quite fit my theme. But it'll work," Prince smirks at Kaylaa as he gets closer to her. She shoves him off and walks out of his face with him almost losing his balance.
"Man, what took you so long," Mike asked.
"Man, you know I had to take my sister's trick or treating, and I wasn't 'bout to let these fools out there harm my sista," Prince explains.
"How was it tho?" I asked as I took a bite of chips and Prince took a seat next to me.
"It was aight. But the most fun is happin' outside with the pranks. We should go out there!"
"No, and risk getting trouble by the police?" Kiesha projects.
"It ain't like nobody gonna get hurt," he defends.
Before Michael could say anything, Ms. Reed came out of the room.
"Okay, y'all. Have a good night, don't let these strangers walk in, and be safe tonight!" She rushes and grabs her phone, and then walks out of the door.
"So y'all down or what?"
"I'm in," Kiesha says standing up.
"Yeah. Besides, it's fun."
"I can't believe y'all gonna try to get through this," Kaylaa shakes her head.
"It ain't like mom gonna know. She'll be all the way downtown."
Kaylaa bites her bottom lip and thinks about it, "well you got a point."
"And?"
"Okay fine! I'm in," She gives in. Everyone is in except for me.
"What 'bout you Tasha? You down or what?"
"Com'on girl. It'll be fun."
I sat and thought for a little moment and gave in. I didn't think this was a good idea but it would help to loosen me up more.
We went to travel to the Hyde Park neighborhood. So many teenagers were out on the street vandalizing, throwing eggs, and so much more. Chaos. We joined with this random guy who had tons of eggs that he carried on a wagon. We egged cars, houses, trees, and even people's garbage cans. Michael and Prince took it even further on egging some random adults.
There came a moment when this guy with a Jason mask approached me and Kiesha to ask us to help him throw some water balloons at people. I didn't feel like regular people didn't deserve to be treated like this, but for the sake of my friends, I did it anyway. Besides, so far I'm just getting into the fun. Kiesha and I threw a water balloon behind a neighbor that was complaining about their car parked in front of their house. We took off running as soon as we did the action. I saw Michael throw a water balloon at some teenagers and took off running super fast.
Then there is a moment where this other random guy and his crew need some help vandalizing the house with toilet paper rolls. So Prince, Michael, Kaylaa, Kiesha, and I all joined in on destroying the outside of the house with toilet rolls all wrapped around. The sound of the sirens came and everyone dipped out from the scene. The crew and I dodged through an alley in a random neighborhood. Then they cut into a different neighborhood where there were houses that had bushes that were really huge. We all decided to hide around there until all the squad cars drove past and away from us.
