I am sorry this took so long for me to upload this chapter guys. I have been caught up with school work. I have to write out a paper for my project I need to have done by the end of the year as well. Online classes are kicking my butt. I tried to write something out for you guys to make the chapter quite interesting. As editing this, I was thinking of something juicy to add to the next chapter. I will be making changes to my bio because I feel like I need to add something new since I had this account for a long time lol. The next Chapter might be out next week tho, but I can't guarantee that. But be on the lookout for my announcements. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter.

Chapter 7

Michael's POV

I started walking Latasha back home safely. It was an awkward walk back with her, but that's only because I couldn't get my mind off of the thought of Terrence. About 15 minutes later, I dropped Latasha at her place safely. The girls lived pretty close apart within one area. The South Side of Chicago is a big area, but it can be such a small world once you know all of the streets that you've been around. I am on my way back to Prince's place as I'm walking down the block just coming from in front of Tasha's house. As I was walking, I noticed a person walking behind me. It's dark outside and not every street light was on, so it was somewhat bleak outside. Damn, I need to go to driving school and start learning to drive so I can have better transportation. It ain't safe walking by yourself in dark hours of the night.

I walked faster away from him with my hands in my pocket as he kept getting closer to me with his speed. The strange man then comes from behind me and grabs my arm, but little does he know as I quickly switch, grab and twist his hand, having the gun fall from his other hand, and flip him over to the ground. I picked the gun up before he could, and I aggressively picked his ass up.

"Who the fuck you is? I bet you ain't expect me to know I can fight back huh?" I said as I pointed the gun towards him as he stuttered for his life and apologies.

"Do yourself a favor," I pause and then. Snatching his mask off his face and then grabbing I'm close holding the gun by his head, "if I ever see your face again or recognize you on these streets, you better not come from behind me again cuz it's yo' ass. I'm keepin' this gun."

Suddenly sirens come out of nowhere. Sounds like they are about to come from the corner. I told the dude to leave and I took off running as well. I stopped in one spot and then ended up throwing the gun behind the big bushes, which are surrounded by this rusted, abandoned house. The cops drove right on up and stopped me, of course. They didn't come out of the car though. They asked me where I was going this time of the night.

"Home. I just drop my friend off at her house if you want to be in somebody's business."

"Shut up, we ask the questions here," the cop in the passenger seat says. After they told me to leave, I watched them drive off and turn to the right. I shook my head as I turned around to grab the gun I hid behind the bushes, then I proceeded to walk my directions back to Prince's house.

After waiting for the bus, which took about 15 to 30 minutes coming from redline to get to my stop on 79th street, and another 20 minutes of riding, I finally ended up back around 94th South Colfax, which is where Prince lived. I come inside and slam the door behind with irritation. Prince looks up and asks me if I was alright.

"Yeah. Just almost got jacked outside."

"For real? By who?"

"Some random guys," I mention as I sit down on the couch. "As soon as I dropped off Tasha at her place, I walked two blocks down from where she lives, and suddenly some dude creeps behind me."
