Disclaimer: I am sorry if I'm dragging this chapter. This has been the longest chapter I ever wrote. I tried to add in more dialogue and making it more interesting for yall. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. This is way over 4,000 words long lol. This beyond the most I have ever written since a term paper.

Chapter 4It's the second week of school and it's time for cheer tryouts. The bell rings and students come out into hallways with their friends to talk about the latest incident that happened in class. Latasha grabs her things from her locker and meets Keisha in the bathroom.
"Ready for tryouts?" Keisha asks.
"Sorta. I'm a little nervous."
"You'll do good. Just remember the routine I taught you, and let the rest flow through," Keisha encouraged, and Latasha nodded. Both girls went to change into their sweat gear, meanwhile; Michael and Prince were in the boys' gym locker to change for practice.
Michael's POV
I walk out of the bathroom with my gym shorts on and a black tank. I bend down to tie my Air Jordan's. Prince comes from behind furiously and goes to his locker next to mine and puts his back inside and grabs his stuff.
"Aye, wassup with you? What happened in the last period?"
"Ms. Gonzalez, that's what. Man, she gave me my third demerit for today."
"For what? What do you do?" I ask knowing him of course he did something to get his three demerits.
"Okay, my first two were tardy demerits, which I could handle. I had to hit up this girl. Then last period came," he continues while changing in the stall. "I came on time, mind my own business the whole time. It just so happened that we had to work in a group, so we were talking about work. Then we came back to full-class discussion, and I happened to go into my bag to grab my notepad, that's when I heard her say 'Nelson, that's 1 demerit. Next time, raise your hand to ask if you can go into your bag please.' That's when I didn't participate in the rest of the class. I didn't care about getting my points. Fuck that," he walks out of the stall and then goes to the locker and to put his bag in as Michael walks behind him listening.
"Well, at least I can see that the last one was petty. It's only the second week and you gotta stay clear next week so they can clear them."
"Right, and I ain't planning to get my first detention of the semester. They got me fucked up," Prince slams the locker.
"Aye chill man. Just try not to offend any teachers, stay out of trouble and do better than last year when you had over 90 detentions in one year," I remind him.
"Damn man, you ain't gotta remind me. I know that" says as I chuckle and shake my head.
I changed the subject to get his mind off earlier, "So I texted Latasha last night."
"Oh? It's about damn time you text that girl. So tell me, did she turn you down?" Prince teases.
I shove him and say, "Man quit playin'. I didn't even ask her out."
He laughs, "And why not? Man, how long have you been head over heels with that girl?"
"Since... Bro, that's not the point."
"And? So what? Mike, I can catch a girl faster than you can catch Tasha at any moment."
"Yeah right," I smirked and brushed him off. "You still never got Kaylaa yet."
"That's because she's a catch. She doesn't know she'll be mine, but she will though."
I chuckle and shake my head at his reduced insight, "Bro, I'm being serious. We had some things to talk about. She explained why she left."
