2: AM I HEARING IT RIGHT??

The previous day, at Offgun mansion.

Gulf came back from his college. Offgun were sitting in the leaving room. They had serious look on their face. They had something important to speak to Gulf. Gun was confident about their decision, because he knew that Gulf may not be happy with this in the beginning but this was the best thing that can ever happen in Gulf's life. But Off was tensed up. He never asked Gulf to do anything that Gulf was not interested in.

After taking a fresh warm water bath, Gulf went down stairs to greet his parents. He placed soft kisses on their cheeks and sat on the couch opposite to his parents. He glimpsed the serious look of his parents.

“ Is everything all right Daddy?? Papa did daddy upset with something?? ” he asked.

“ No. Nothing like that. Everything is fine. But we have something very important to inform you. ” said papa Gun.

“ Are you going on any business trip again? That's all right. I can manage. No need to put such a
serious face for such a silly thing. ” said Gulf being dumb about what he is going to hear next.

“ Gulf... You are getting married next month.” said papa Gun.

Gulf was shocked to hear this. His parents never spoke to him about his marriage. Till now the only things they were concerned about Gulf was his health, career and his safety. They never had ever asked Gulf to do anything against his will. He was a sweet little kid and was treated like a baby by everyone.

“ What?? Am I hearing it right?? ” asked Gulf.

“ Yes. You are getting married next month and that's final. No argument. You can invite your friends if you wish. And making your relationship public is your choice. ” said papa gun.

“ What??? How can you do this to me? I am not ready for this. I am only 23 now. And I am still a student. ” said Gulf.

“ We know all of these. And if there is something that we are unaware about, you can tell us now. ” said papa Gun.

Gulf could not think of any excuse. He stayed silent for a while.

“ Do you have a boyfriend or at least crush on someone Gulf?” finally daddy Off spoke after a long time.

“ No ” was the only answer Gulf could give. Because he had eye on none.

“ Then there is no problem in getting married now. ” said papa gun.

Gulf had nothing to protest against. He stayed silent and sat back on the couch.

Papa gun went near and sat beside him. He gentle caressed Gulf's face and said “ Gulf... This marriage was planned the day you were born. He is the son of uncle Tay and uncle New. You know them very well. And they are good people. And we are family friends. You will never get a better family than this. We love you soo much that we will never let any bad thing to happen with you. ”

“ But Papa... ” Gulf was about to say something when he was cut short by his Daddy.

“ Gulf can't you do just one thing that we ask you for? ” asked Daddy Off.

Daddy Off had asked nothing from Gulf till now. This was the first thing he had asked. Gulf decided to fulfill his parents' wish.

“ Ok. I will do as you say. ” said Gulf and went straight up to his room.

Gulf didn't knew who he was getting married to. But he certainly knew that whatever his parents pick for him was the best thing in this world. He decided to act as if he was very much interested in getting married. He thought “ if I am getting married  with no choice left then it  is better to enjoy this. After all its just once in life time. ”

The next 2 days went by easily. Neither Mew not Gulf asked the photo of their fiance. But their parents were not that dumb. They decided to send MewGulf on an arranged date. Both Mew and Gulf agreed to this.
