 My eyes fluttered open to a loud pounding sound. Looking over to my alarm clock I realized it was already 5 in the evening. I could not believe how long of a nap I had taken. With stealth following right behind me I got out of bed and ran down the stairs.

“I’m coming!” I yelled to whomever it was on the other side of my door.

I opened my door to find out that it was Terra banging on the door this whole time.

“Took you long enough.” Terra exasperated walking past me.

“Nice to see you too.” I mumbled closing the door.

“What where you even doing? I was knocking for forever. And who else is here?”

I followed her into my kitchen and she had set out three long stemmed wine glasses.

“I was taking a nap and what are you talking about? And anyway you have a key.”

“I left my house so quick, I forgot my key.” Terra said while popping the cork off the bottle of wine. I shot her a quick look. Terra was known for taking her sweet time to do everything, including getting ready. Rushing is completely unlike her character.

“Dieters parents came over. You know I can’t stand his mother, she’s so outspoken and completely overbearing.”

“You do realize that you’re exactly like her.” I laughed at my own statement which earned an eye roll from her.

“But I’m far more fabulous, darling.” She poured the wine into each glass. Just as Lacey came walking into the kitchen.

“Hey Lace. Glad to see that you still have your key.” I said sarcastically.
