A/N: Hey guys, here it is! Sorry for the wait:)
Noah’s pov
Driving up to my parents house in Calabasas I’m about half an hour late. Good thing it’s just the family or my mom would definitely have something to say. I parked my truck near the fountain that sits in the middle of the huge driveway.
Instead of waiting for a housekeeper to open the door, I just push down on the door handle and walked right in. I’m greeted by the smell of amazing food and the drift of conversation and laughter through the hallways.
Once I enter the living room, I see my brother and Olivia. I shake my brothers hand and kiss Olivia on the cheek. All of a sudden my mother rushes towards me with her arms wide open.
Hugging her I say “hey maa, sorry I'm late.” She brushes that aside, which is very unlike her. Definitely solidifies that she has something up her sleeve.
“Oh Noah, you got here just in time.” Yup, looking towards Ben I raise my eyebrows in silent questioning, but he just puts his glass to his lips and takes Olivia by the hand. “Come along now, everyone is in the dining room.” She says grabbing my arm.
Wait, what the hell. This was suppose to be just the family. As soon as we enter the dining room I see my father talking to another couple with their backs towards us. I walk over to greet my dad with a hug and he introduces me to the couple.
“This is our son Noah, we were telling you about.” I give a look to my dad, not quite sure what’s going on but nonetheless I shake their hands and catch their names Ed and Lauren. They seem like really nice, proper people.
We are all ushered to sit, however before we are all settled, in walks this sweet looking blonde girl.
Ed quickly makes the introductions.“ Noah, this is our daughter, Audrey.” I stand up, shake her hand and offer a polite greeting.
My mom starts to put the food on the table and says “Audrey, why don’t you sit next to Noah.” Once again I look to Ben and he and Liv are talking quietly amongst themselves. Something is definitely going on.
All throughout dinner this Audrey girl was coming on to me a little too thick and the only conversation topics seemed to be about me and Audrey. It became quite apparent that they were looking to marry off their daughter but not to just anyone, to someone they approve of. My mom and Ed wouldn’t stop insisting we get to know each other.
Man I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Once dinner had ended, I all but high-tailed it out of the house and wished I was heading back to Nala’s instead of the airport. What a fucking set up.
Nala’s pov
I can’t believe this. I woke up this morning so excited to spend the weekend with my best friends. I was literally dancing around my room, blasting my music, having the time of my life packing and getting ready for this weekend get-away.
