Rose's POV
I was going to die. I knew that last night. But for some reason I wasn't scared. The only way to defeat the dragon of ice is for fire and water to work together. The dragon of ice will go for water first because he/she will be more vulnerable and Fire will not be going anywhere. Death. Even if the dragon doesn't kill me, the poison will. If the poison magically goes away, (which it won't,) I will become water and technically will die. I am not afraid. ( to take a stand everybody...sorry just had to :p)
I knew the major temperature drop didn't affect Roxy, but my ass was freezing.
"What's next?" Kaylyn whispered.
"Dunno." Roxy replied.
I knew though. "I have to distract the dragon. He has complete power over me and will try and kill me first. Roxy, you have to sneak up on him from behind and blast him with all the fire you have. I really truly love you guys. You are the first and only friends I'll ever have. I love you. Do what you want for the rest of your life. Thanks so much...for everything." I turned to pet Kaylyn's head and I gave Roxy a hug. She was so warm. Roxy slowly understood was I was saying and she hugged me back. Hard. I pulled away before I started crying and changed my mind.
I turned towards the dragon and wiped a tear off my cheek. I started walking towards him. Roxy grabbed my shoulder.
"Rose you can't! You c-can't do this. D-don't go." That last part was barely audible. I shook her hand off determined not to look at her tear stained face. She was the only person who had ever really cared about me. I stumbled and fell.
Pain shot through me like an arrow and the dragon woke up. I fell to my knees. The Dragon turned to look at me. He smiled slyly and said "You've finally found me. You will never get my scale and the only reason I haven't killed you yet is because I wanted you to finish your quest and be under my control. Once you become your element I will control all three. Ice. Fire. Water. The entire world will be under my control!"
I turned to look at Roxy. I love you I mouthed. She was going to say something back to me but then instead of sadness, her expression turned to terror.
"Rose behind you!" She screamed. I turned around as the dragon stepped right next to me.
"You are fading fast water. My poison is almost in your heart. Today you will die. I could let you slowly fade away which would take hours, or speed up the process to a few minutes."
I saw everything. Roxy crying, Roxy before her hair turn red red, Roxy holding me. Roxy saving me in the river. Then the dragon lifted his black claw and ever so gently tapped my shoulder with it. It was pain so intense I fell over. I screamed and twisted in agony. "Roxy!" I attempted to turn and look at her. Black spots started to cover my vision. I heard heavy human foot steps approaching me. "Roxy." My voice was barely a whisper. "Rose." Someone replied. I saw Roxy's face and then everything was black. I heard a sob and then nothing.
Roxy's POV
I watched Rose collapse and I ran over to her. "Roxy" she weakly said. "Rose" I said slightly sobbing. I held her then all of a sudden she goes limp. "NOOOO" I scream sobbing holding Rose's lifeless body. "Y-you can't be gone, ROSE WAKE UP!" I sobbed loudly. Then I hear the cold laugh of the dragon. "She's gone fire" he coldly purred. "Gone forever, you'll never see her again" His voice rang in my ears and I knew it was the truth she was gone forever, but she wouldn't have died in vain. The anger I felt powered me and my energy, I looked at Rose's limp body hearing a slight ring in my ears. "SHE WILL BE AVENGED" I bellowed my body consumed in a giant flame and I rant words the dragon. "YOU MONSTER YOU KILLED HER" I yelled throwing fire at him. My attacks bounced harmlessly off his scales but I didn't care I kept hitting him with all my power. He smiled coldly and roared ice my way. I rolled out of the way at the last second possible. It went on like that for what seemed like forever. Attack, dodge, attack, dodge over and over. "I think, I shall add Water's body to my collection. What do you think Fire?" He asked tauntingly referring to the pile of dead bodies he kept that he defeated. I was enraged more than ever and took all the power I could and hit him straight in the shoulder. I heard a hiss as he started to dissolve "NOOOOO I WON'T BE DEFEATED" He screamed dissolving into a single white scale. I dropped to my knees replaying the events of today in my head. I crawled over to Rose and buried my face in her stomach and started sobbing.
HEY GUYYYYYSSSS Eden and Lana here, only two more chapters till the end 😁 I'm exited, so next book we will start working on is Let Go then World War Three then we're doing a HP next generation I'm soooo exited so ttfn and don't forget to smile
