Rose's POV
I was really starting to worry. About everything. In a couple more days Roxy and I will become our element and the closest we had come to the dragon was when my hand got sliced open. I remembered everything. Even the stuff I don't want to. So I kept feeling my hand on fire and the acid feeling of it going through my veins. Of course, what really has me worried is that there might still be some in me.
So of course, I hadn't gotten any sleep last night. I had been watching Roxy have her nightmare and reading more in my book. I wasn't sure if I should tell her that I could basically kill her if I splashed some of my water on her. Just like how the dragons snow would kill me. Suddenly, I felt a very sharp pain on my hand. I imediately looked and saw a snow flake resting on my bare skin. As I watched, black lines spread out from the snow flake through my veins. Shit, the poisin was still in my system. Roxy had never cleaned my cut from when she sucked it out. It must have gotten back in and now, there was no wound to get it out from.
"FUCK-IDY FUCK FUCK SHIT!" I yelled.
"What!" Kaylyn and Roxy asked at the same time,concerned. I quickly put my hand in my pocket and said, "It's snowing!" I just couldn't bring myself to tell them that there was still posin in me.
"It'll kill me if it touches me!" I said and ran for the closest hill side. Of course it had already touched me but I didn't have time to think about it. Just then I reached the hill. Come on you shitie hill you've got to have a cave some were. I then stoped dead in my tracks. In front of me was a gigantic opening to the biggest cave I had ever seen. It looked like the whole hill had beed hollowed out and made into a lair. Oh shit. It dawned on me that this was the dragons lair.
"Roxy, Kaylyn!" I yelled.
"We're right here" Roxy said as they stoped behind me.
"What. The. Fuck." Roxy said.
"You can say that again."said Kaylyn.
"What. The. Fuck." Roxy said with a grin.
"Uggh you're impossible."Kaylyn replied and returned the grin.
"Shit Rose, your lips are turning blue!" Roxy exclaimed.
I then realized that I was freezing my ass off, but wouldn't the lair be colder? Well, it was now or never. If I wanted to have a chance of living, I would have to go in the lair. If I waned to die for sure I could just go find another cave and let myself turn to poisined water. I took a deep breath and stepped into the dragons lair. Then an intense pain shot through my body. I wasn't sure if it was the dragon, the ice, the poisin, my body turning to water, or all of them.
The pain then surged up again and I had to fall to my knees.
I managed to find Roxy and Kaylyn, who had turned into dog form, and croak out, "Roxy, make a fire." She imediatley did as she was told and in five seconds, there was a good size fire going. I felt the warmth flow through my body and was able to get myself into a comfy sitting position. I looked up at Roxy. She looked really concerned and I automatically stuffed my hand into my pocket. It didn't go unnoticed.
"Give me your hand." Roxy ordered.
"Why?" I said back trying to sound as casual as I could. But my voice cracked.
"Now." Roxy demanded.
"No." I told her in a super high pitched voice. Shit, how come whenever I needed to sound normal, I couldn't?
"Why not?" Roxy asked and took a step towards me.
"I uh- it's um- it's cold and my pockets warm." I lied.
"Uh huh. Look at me Rose. I'm practically a walking flame. Now give me your god damn hand!" Roxy dived for me. On instinct I shot water on her. Oh fucking shit. What have I done! Roxy stared at me in disbelief and went unconcous.
"ROXY!" I screamed. " DON'T LEAVE ME! I NEED YOU COME BACK! COME BACK! Come Back! C-Come b-back. I had tears streaming down my face and I had put her fire out. I was soaked and fucking freezing. The pain came back and this time I let it take me. I collapsed next to Roxy.
