Rose splashed water on me and it all went in slow motion, me trying to block it by putting my hands up, Rose with a look of anger that turned to shock as soon as the water hit me, the fire i made earlier flickered out, i fell half awake and half asleep.
My life flashed before my eyes as i saw memories i didnt even know i had.
Then the memory i spent so long trying to forget came, it was a normal day, Dad was drunk again and as usual Mom was trying to calm him down, getting beat in the process.
It was worse than most days he kept hitting her and i was doing nothing to help, he grabbed his empty bottle and hit her hard on the head, she fell and whispered to me "be happy chose your own fate" she then took her final breath and her eyes closed for etirnity with a smile on her face she fell into eternal sleep, she was dead and it was all my fault thats when my dad hid her and i was his new punching dummy.
The rest of my life flashed from the first time i met Kaylyn up until now.
then i opened my eyes but i wasnt at camp, i was in a place with no walls and there was blinding light, i looked down to see i was wearing a white tunic with light jeans and sneakerboots.
"am i dead" i asked to noene in paticular. "No" a gentle voice sounded. i turned around and saw a woman in white robes, it was my mother.
"Mom" i said running to her hugging heer. she hugged me back. "You have grown so much" she said in an adoring tone "Mom where where you" i replied
"I was always here along your side"
"But im going to die now"
"Do you remember what i said ten years ago?"
"Yes you said for me to be happy and chose my own fate"
"And you will" she said, she kissed my forehead and smiled sweetly fading away.
"MOM!" i yelled reaching out for her "Ill aways be there" she said fully dissolving.
I rose to my feet with a look of determination on my face, "I will make my own PATH" I shouted waking up.
I jolted upright fully awake with a cold snow falling.
"YOUR AWAKE" Rose yelled happily. Then i saw her hand. 'It didn't work' i immeaditly thought CRAP.
"your hand" i said "let me see it" "okay" she squeaked itimatated by the force in my voice.
I grabbed her hand in mine and put all my heat to it.
I saw the black veins disseappear replaced with the right kind and i smiled letting go.
"that should do uit" i said Rose smiled at me.
"But we need to rest and get our energy up becauser tomorrow, we kill the dragon"
