Roxy's P.O.V
I awoke after another dreamless sleep, I think I actually prefered the nightmares to no dreams at all. I looked at Rose who was awake and smiling, she looked at me and said "I didn't have a nightmare last night." "That's great" I told her "See, telling me your dream really helped."
"Yeah it did."
"You know, today we have to go look for the dragon, we've put it off long enough."
"Yeah you're right" she muttered.
"KAYLN WAKE UP WERE GUNNA NEED YOUR HELP FINDING THE DRAGON!" I yelled. " You know, I actually wouldn't be supprised if he heard you yelling cuz i'm right here" She replied cooly.
"Rose, did you grab your stuff?" I asked impatiently.
"Yeuppers"
"Then what are we waiting for!"
"I dunno, maybe the dragon, dangerous creatures, the million other things round here." Kaylyn casually interrupted, I gave her the death glare. "We need to get going." I said thinking of how the only flesh part left of me was my left hand.
"Left or right?" Rose asked gesturing to the cross roads.
"Uhhhh why not left?"
"Left we go" Kaylyn flew ahead of us into the left path.
We just started walking in when Kaylyn flew past us at lightning speed yelling "RUUUNNNN BEAAAARRRR MUTANT BEAR" Rose and me exchanged looks, both meaning 'RUN'. We bolted off into the left path and didn't stop or look back. After we were out of breath, I stopped holding my hand up signaling it was safe to stop.
"Everyone okay?" Rose asked. Kaylyn and me both nodded.
"That was terrifing, it was a giant black bear, and when I say giant I mean twenty foot tall, venom and saliva dripping from his mouth." Kaylyn said in a shocked state.
"We got to keep going we have two days left, and from the looks of it, this cave could take weeks to search." I said getting up.
"Your right let's keep going" Rose said already walking away.
I walked to her illumanating the dark cave.
"How will we know if were getting closer?" Kaylyn asked.
"Well, according to a book I read once, the ice dragon, like all dragons are very greedy and have lots of treasure, the more treasure we find, the closer we are" Rose explained to us.
"So basically, when we find more riches which are good, we're getting closer to death" I said jokingly.
Rose's face kinda fell into a grimmace and nodded.
I told Kaylyn to go ahead and scout for danger while me and Rose kept walking.
"Rose what happened to your hand" I asked, already knowing the awnser.
"I told you nothing" She said harshly back,
"You my friend, are a terrible liar."
"Fine you got me, the poision hasn't left it's still there and spreading faster the closer we get to the ice dragon."
"If you had told me sooner, we might have come up with a solution, but now, we have to focus on finding and defeating the dragon."
"But what if it's not curable?"
"We will find a cure."
"What if I'm dead by then?"
Kaylyn came flying to us.
"I found gold." She said in an exited yet nervous manner.
I ran foward along with Rose to see a big cavern with gold, rubuies, emeralds, basically any valuable thing you could think of ankle deep. Then in all the beauty of the treasure sat a sleeping white dragon over fifty feet tall, and he was sleeping. Rose starts swaying sligtly as if she might fall. "Welcome" I said "To icy death central..."
