Rose's P.O.V.
I saw blood. Everywere. No it was fire because I was burning. Then why did it smell like copper, looked smooth like water, and I had a knife in my hand? My eyes followed the trail of burning blood and I saw a body. Most likely dead because there was multiple stab wounds dripping fire,blood,and smoke. It took me a while to recognize the bright red hair, blank redish purple eyes, red nails, fire looking arms and legs, and my only friend.
I saw water mixing with the blood to make steam. I looked at the knife again but it was gone. There was a dragon scale replacing it. Wait a minute. Roxy. Roxy was dead! I had just killed my only friend. Stabbed her in the back like a traitor.
"Rose! Wake up!" Roxy screamed.
That couldn't be Roxy, she was dead. What the hell why was someone slapping my face? No one was with me in that cave. Unless Roxy had come back to life. I started screaming but then heard some one else yell, "Wake up Rose you're dreaming!"
That brought me back to reality and I opened my eyes and saw Roxy and Kalyn over me, eyes wide with fear and concern.
"Rose are you ok?" Roxy demanded.
"I don't know." I said in a voice that sounded nothing like mine. "What happened?"
"You started turning over and over and mumbling, then you started screaming. What was your nightmare about?"
"Er, well uh..." I didn't know if I wanted to tell Roxy I had murdered her.
"It was about... about... t-the dragon."I decided to go with part of the truth. Technically I wasn't lieing.
"What happened with the dragon Rose! You were screaming bloody murder!"
I bit my lip. There had been a murder...hers. "Uhhh... we... the scale! We have to get the dragons scale!"
"Rose, we already knew that. Why were you screaming." she said dead serious.
"I...you...some one was dead! I don't know who but the dragon killed some one in front of us!" Rose nodded but she didn't look convinced.
"Well, we should probably get going. I mean, it's now or never right?" I wanted to change the subject.
"Rose, it's the middle of the night and practically a blizzard outside." Kayln stated.
"Oh, right." I replied quietly. "Well, back to bed for me."
"Good night."
"Night." Roxy joined in but she didn't sound so sure.
There was no way on earth that I was going back to sleep tonight. I was scared of what might happen in my dreams next time. Roxy, dead. I turned onto my side. A bloody knife in my hand. I layed on my back. A silvery dragon scale. I opened my eyes. I jumped. Roxy was kneeling next to me.
"Rose, what was your dream really about?"
I just stared at her. All I could think of was her blank, staring eyes. I felt a tear leak down my cheek. Then another. Then I started shaking and silently sobbing.
"Shh. Rose it's okay. She wiped my tears off with her thumb. They sizzled. Then she gave me a hug. I felt warmth throughout my body. She warmed me up to the tip of my toes.
"I-I-you were d-dead. I k-killed you." I repeated my nighmare to her and she warmed me up so that my fears were almost, gone.
OMG guys im so sorry its been so long! Ive had school, homework, school, dance classes, recitals and school. Hopefully now i will have more time to write and this book will be done within 2 months! I never got to tell you, Merry Christmas and Happy 2015! dont forget to vote and comment ~Lana :D
