This one is kinda both recreational and educational. I call it my 'flashcard factory' phase. It goes like such:
1. I find the alphabet chart of a foreign language, and study it.
2. I trace one letter on the front of am index card, and I write the corresponding phonetic sound on the back. It can also include sentence examples, vowels/consonants/accent marks, etc.
3. After finishing the set, I organize it into a bag, and label it.
So far I have about 12 sets. This includes:
- Cyrillic (Russian, not Ukrainian)
- Katakana
-Hiragana
- Armenian
- Tibetan
- Hindi
-Arabic
- Thai/Lao
- Vietnamese
- Korean
- Some secret code another kid and I made up in 6th gradeThis is a rather specific obsession of mine, but I enjoy doing it.
