Barry's Internet Mysteries, pt. 1 [solved]

This is another one of those little miniseries I'll have in my journal, where I'll research weird shit I find on the internet for fun and document it.  If y'all enjoy it, let me know.  I'll get on with it.

One of my long time favourite YouTubers, Chadtronic, has a series on his channel called 'Cursed Commercials,' where he watches an unusual commerical and rates it on a scale of 1 - 10 based on how cursed it is.

In one of these videos, he featured a very odd clip of what looks like someone's Simspons-meet-Plotagon acid trip.

All of you are likely familiar with my peculiar alphabet obsession.  Upon first seeing this clip 6 months ago, when Chad's video featuring the clip (Cursed Commercials #12) first came out, I thought it was Thai/Lao script.  That was only a guess from the 3 seconds the title was displayed, however.

After rediscovering it, I quickly became consumed with finding out what script the title was in.  I am not good at recognizing different languages by ear, and the audio clarity was so jacked, I didn't even bothern. I originally thought it to be Burmese.  (Note the semi-circle shaped letters, the letters resembling cursive d's and b's).  Here's Burmese script for reference:

However, there were some discrepancies

However, there were some discrepancies.  (Note the 'm' looking letter, the 'l' looking letter at the beginning of the title).  Thus, I concluded that this was not Burmese script.

I was almost certain that it was an Indo-Aryan or a Sino-Tibetan language, not a Euro language.  My original plan was to put the screenshot through an time-based language detector, however the clip featured was already somewhat low def and the text was obscured by the background, so I figured that would be tedious.

Next, I started looking through playlists other users had made of the commercials Chadtronic had featured.  At the time this is written, Chadtronic is currently on Cursed Commercials #17, so needless to say that it was a long playlist. (About 600 videos).

By some miracle, the user had found the clip and added it to the playlist.  It was published in 2009, titled Samsonadzes Promo, and it looked just as bootleggish as you'd imagine.  The description of the video was in, you guessed it, the same foreign script I had been researching.

After considering other scripts, such as Oriya/Odia, Tamil, Amharic, my final guess was Georgian

I was half-right, half-wrong.  Georgian is a Kartvelian language, so it's Indo-European.  My exact guess was right, however, it turned out to be a Euro language after all.

BTW, I'm referring to the country Georiga, not the U.S state.  I don't know, Georgia, the place where fucking Stalin was born?  I dunno, either.

The video was just that fucking cursed.
