chapter 3.

the next day, carlos' pov.

i woke up with an arm around my waist and my head on a bare chest, i looked up and was met with them those eyes that took me away the night before.

"uh." the pirate hesitated, "shit."

"good morning to you too." i mumbled.

"yeah, right." harry said nervously, climbing out of the blankets and throwing his clothes back on.

"harry." i said.

said boy stopped in his tracks, he can't believe this happened.

"mutt, i believe this might've been wrong of ya." harry explained.

"wrong of me? hook, you kissed me." i looked at him. i could see the pain in his eyes.

"i know what i did, but ye should've pushed me away." harry started panicking, frantically searching the room.

i quickly stood up the missing item in my hand behind my back as i stood in front of him and stopped him from moving, "hook."

"no, no- mutt move!" he shouted, clearly freaked out.

"harry!" i shouted back and held his hook out infront of me.

the pirate stopped and took a breath before taking it off me. i slid my arms around his neck and pulled him down and he made himself comfortable in my neck.

"it wasn't a mistake, hook."

"i know." harry breathed.

"so trust me and breathe." i whispered to him, my hand combing through his hair.

harry took his minute to pull himself together and the two got ready and left for the day.

"what do yer say about me teaching ya some fighting skills today?" harry said softly.

"okay" I smiled, looking up at him.

an hour later.

"GIL!" harry bursted into the chip shop, "yes?" gil popped his head around the corner, mouth full of fish.

"let's go, i need you to be carlos' sparing partner." harry waved his hook around.

"o-okay" gil hesitated, mind you he loved to fight, but was he the best at it?

"that wasn't so hard now was it mutt?" harry said smugly, as the three of us wondered back into the chip shop.

"well, i guess when you have a good teacher it helps." i said smirking making harry scoff.

we completely forgot gil was even there until he spit his drink out watching closely at the tv.

harry and i looked at eachother confused before wondering over behind a heavily invested gil.

"king ben and his lady mal have come clean with us tonight about their discussions about the border protecting us all, but is it really doing it's job?" the auradon news lady spat through the glitchy tv.

a clip of mal and ben flashed onto the tv, "with the recent events of yesterday, unfortunately mal and i have decided to close the barrier temporarily until uma has been found." ben spoke confidently, "as much as we would love to begin our VK program, we have to protect our people first."

"they're going to come get me before then right?" carlos mumbled.

harry could only look at him helplessly.
