chapter 9.

3 months later, mal's pov.

it was time to bring more vks to auradon and the crew couldn't be more excited. evie, jay, ben, carlos and i were all standing in front of the school waiting for the limo to pull up after ben just proposed in front of the whole school.

"you look nervous." ben said looking down at me.

"i'm perfectly fine." i smiled at my soon to be king.

ben smiled back at me, grabbing my hand and kissing the bright, big purple ring, "is this because of.." he said slightly tilting his head towards carlos, "..and harry?" he said softly so none else could hear.

i just looked down at my shoes.

"hey, it'll be fine" he reassured, lifting my chin up and pecking my lips making me smile.

the limo soon pulled up and we all piled in. carlos purposely sitting the furthest away, he had been ignoring me ever since that night he got back.

heading back to the isle, this time we were randomly picking 4 vks out, we decided we weren't going to pick because i refused to let carlos choose harry and jay and i don't really know who to pick, but, evie was aloud to pick dizzy because she'd been waiting forever.

i glanced over at carlos slightly seeing him talking to jay, i could see his leg bouncing and i knew what that meant. he was excited, but nervous. i know he wants us to run into harry for some reason, i could read carlos like a book half the time.

carlos' pov.

i was excited, but nervous because i really wanted us to run into harry but, i didn't know how it would go. i don't know what he's thinking but i would be really happy to see him after the miserable month i've had.

i had been ignoring mal ever since the night i got back, i just can't talk to her if she's not gonna atleast try and be happy for me, and yeah i understand that if your brother starts to date your ex that would be weird and wouldn't want them any where near you but, forcing both your ex and your own brother to be miserable? and the fact i didn't even know about that just baffles me.

jay was talking about some new sport he learned when i saw Mal looking at me, she quickly turned away when she saw me looking, i was knocked out of my thoughts when jay lighty smacked my arm. "you okay?" he asked softly. i just nodded hoping that reassured him.

"she will be fine." jay said smiling to reassure me instead.

i looked out the window and realised we were going through the barrier, suddenly all my nerves came back that i forgot i had.

jay put his hand on my shoulder and gave it a squeeze noticing my nerves.

the car had stopped and we all got out.

after the song

mal was standing with evie waiting for everyone to quiet down so they could start reading our the names.

"okay! first up is son of smee, cmon tweeky!" i said gesturing for him to come over.

jay quickly started after, "and there's no way we're splitting up the twins, so get on over here squirmy! c'mon!"

one he got over to jay, it was evie's turn.

"next up, is the grand daughter of lady tremaine, daughter of drizella, my dizzy." dizzy squealed and hurried up the stairs.

"now, last, but certainly not least, we all picked this girl because we believe she could use a little bit of fairy godmother's goodness class, give it on up for dr facilier's daughter, celia!" mal clapped.

we all grouped together and made it up the stairs.

"where are we going?" mal said.

"we're going to-"

"auradon!" the crowd joined in.
