an hour later, harry's pov.
watching mal save audrey was definitely something different. the rush of happiness uma and i both felt as a bright blue flash covered the sky as she ran into my arms as we spun around.
but now we were sitting in audrey's room, waiting for her to wake.
uma and i had followed mal back here, but i still had yet to see me pup.
the group sat in silence, watching the girl on the bed breathe slowly before the door swung open and in rushed jay followed by gil and carlos.
i stood up quicker than what i thought i could and was soon wrapped in familiar arms as uma stood up for gil.
no words were spoken as i just squeezed him tighter and hid my face in his neck, relief flooding my body.
"can someone tell me why gil thought it would be best to take us the long way, claiming that he knew where he was going?" jay spoke out.
"hey we got here didn't we?" gil said, offended.
"why didn't you just go the way you know?" uma giggled.
"because we didn't want him to get lost and then just never show up." carlos muttered.
"yer alright?" i mumbled to him.
"yeah, yeah! i'm okay, i mean there's nothing like being turned to stone!" carlos said, slightly pulling away making my jaw tense.
"don't know what i would've done without yer." i admitted quietly so only he heard.
"we're gonna have to find something if were gonna be seperated forever." carlos looked at me with a sad laugh making my heart pang.
"guy, she's slipping away.." evie said quietly.
"there's only one person who could fix this and that's hades."
"hades? he wouldn't do it. i wouldn't risk it." ben was almost appalled at the sentence that came out of mal's mouth.
"but he'd do it for me. he's my father." mal dropped as half the room looked at eachother shocked.
"well, ill send guards to get him.." ben mumbled, crossing his arms as beast moved outside of the room with belle.
"can i hitch a ride?" uma stepped in making everyone look at her, "the isle is my home."
"well then, guess you'll need your first mate.." i slightly grabbed the back of her shoulders, standing behind her as carlos watched me quietly.
jesus we both wanted to cry.
"can i go to?" celia said making mal look at her sadly, "i wish i could be in both places."
"don't we all." i said, making carlos excuse himself out of the room.
everyone watched him walk out before i was quick to follow.
out in the hallway carlos stood there, hands on his face as his body shook.
"pup?" i spoke carefully to not spook the boy.
"harry, i have to stay here." he admitted, still not turning around.
"then that's what happens pup." i stood about 5 feet away from him, "the queen's made up her mind and there's nothing we can do."
carlos turned around, arms wrapped around himself as he looked at me with tears running down his cheeks, "i guess this is goodbye then." his voice wobbled as he tried to hold a smile.
i couldn't help myself as i walked up and wrapped him in my arms, one hand resting at the back of his head as he broke out into sobs.
i held my ground trying to stay strong for carlos, "who knows, maybe they might change their minds, so think of it as a 'see ya later'."
his cries quieted down as he looked up at me and pulled something out of his jacket, i took it, wrapping it around his neck and pressing a kiss to the shiny hook. "see you later, alligator." he laughed painfully.
i scoffed a laugh as a tear accidentally ran down my cheek, the pup infront of me wiping it away, "i'll see ya later, i love yer, carlos."carlos pulled me down for a kiss, arms wrapped tightly around my neck before pulling away as we were both crying, "i love you." he whispered with our foreheads pressed together.
he stepped away slowly, our hands never leaving eachother's until we were out of reach, he gave me one last smile before stepping inside the door back into the room.
