When we reached the edge of the forest Aiden began to strip off his clothes.

In my eyes he was moving in slow motion, bringing the literal meaning of stripping out.

His rough and calloused hands gripped the end of his black t-shirt and pulled it over his head. The chiseled muscles of his stomach rippled with his movement, the cords of his arms flexed with little effort as he slid the material over them to toss it onto the ground beside a tree.

Next were his pants.

My wolf and I were already drooling at the sight of his bare chest so when he unclipped the button of his jeans and made a move to pull them down we could only wait to see what was hidden underneath.

In my dazed state I didn't even take notice that Aiden had stopped and was staring at me. I turned a deep cherry red and quickly averted my gaze.

" Sorry..." I managed to squeak out in my oddly shy state. I'd seen other rogues in the nude before... it wasn't something I hadn't seen before but the show Aiden had put on had tingles spreading throughout my body, had my lower region reacting in ways it had never done before.

" It's fine." He replied, I could hear the grin in voice without having to look. I heard more shuffling and took another peek at Aiden.

Now he was fully naked. And it was a mouth watering sight.

I didn't get the time I wanted to stare at this Greek god because he quickly shifted before me.

'Turn back!' My wolf growled with displeasure in the fact that Aiden shifted. Although the wolf was her main attraction the human side was just as good.

The black wolf I was now familiar with stood before me, a happy growl being released. He was ready to run through the forest as was I. But my hands moved with their own minds and brushed softly against the gleaming fur.

It was soft to the touch but rough at the same time. Aiden's wolf tilted his head to watch me as I continued to rub my hands along his back.

I was mesmerized by this beast, by this man I called my mate...

I felt him nudge me. He wanted me to shift, he seemed impatient about it.

I wasted no time in throwing off my clothes just as he had. I could feel his eyes traveling along my figure just like he could feel mine when he was changing.

His wolf growled his approval but just as he had done I shifted without giving him time to get the full look.

Instantly Aiden's wolf embraced mine. He nuzzled his head under ours, rubbed his ginormous frame against mine, our whines of joy filled the air before my wolf nipped at his ear and ran off.

Tree flashed past us in our speed, we nimbly swayed throughout the meadows with little effort. Our ears picked up Aiden's thunderous footsteps behind us as he quickly caught up.

We kept the lead as we raced across the snow covered forest.

Small herds of deer scattered as we mindlessly sprinted past them. Aiden tried to get ahead of us but my wolf cut him off with his every attempt.

There was a snarl and then we felt little nips at our hindquarters, Aiden's wolf attempts to slow us down. My wolf pushed her muscular legs to move faster, to pick up more speed still the virile stayed at our feet.

Eventually, Aiden grew tired of our game and tackled us. We went tumbling through the dead shrubbery. Pinned to the ground my wolf locked gazes with Aiden's, that wolfish grin plastered onto his muzzle.

He lowered his skull and pressed it against our, our pleased growls filling the silent forest.

For hours my mate and I played.

We sparred, showing each other our skills in battle. Of course Aiden's wolf was well trained unlike mine but we still managed to take him down a few times.

We were circling each other when Aiden's wolf made the first move, lunging himself toward us with open jowls. He intended to land a blow but not one that would be harmful. My wolf, who was faster, slipped to the side narrowly dodging his attack. Kicking back on her hind legs my wolf grabbed the black wolf by his scruffs and gave a slightly rough pull.

Aiden struggled to get out of our grasp, he bucked trying to throw me off him. He then pushed back onto his hind legs and we both went flying backwards. With his weight falling down on me the air in my lungs evaporated, my grip on his scruffs dropped immediately.

A weak whimper escaped my wolf and Aiden's was quick to check on her. He stood and began licking her muzzle, coaxing her to stand so he could get a better look. Once she did he walked around her for a minute until he deemed her fine.

The mate bond between two wolves prevented us from harming each other but it didn't mean we couldn't. When we intentionally inflicted pain to one another we felt it 10 times worse.

We continued our fighting but this time a little more settle.

My wolf was a vixen. She made sure to take advantage of her mates lust for her and used it against him. All in all we surprized both Aiden and his wolf with our little combat skills.

After we chased, splashed around in the water, and did a little hunting we curled around each other to rest for a bit. By that time the sun in the sky had dipped down to switch places with the moon.

At this moment we were at piece. Completely content to stay this way, to never go back to the pack and live our lives freely but I knew it wouldn't happen. That Aiden wouldn't leave behind his people to go rogue with me no matter if I was his mate.

I felt it before it actually happened. I knew it was time to head back but I didn't want too. Aiden's wolf stood and walked off a little to stretch while I sat up and stared off into the distance.

I felt a nudge and shifted my cranium to look at him, at my mate. I whined, voicing my wish to stay here in the wilderness. My mate's eyes softened with a sadness while he let out his own yowl.

Another nudge, a plea for me to go with him, for me to follow and I did. We slowly trekked back to the packhouse in wolf form until we reached our clothes again.

Fully dressed Aiden linked his hand with mine and we made our way back into the house, to our rooms where we said goodnight and left each other for the night.

I lay in bed for what seemed like forever, however comfortable the bed was it wasn't something I was used to. I was used to laying on the ground with just an animal pelt underneath me.

Finally, after a while I got up and began pacing the room. My wolf didn't seem to like the room either. She walked back and forth in my mind, telling me she wanted out. To go for a walk or something just to get out of here.

I stopped in front of my door, gripped the handle and then stopped.

'Why did you stop?' My wolf mumbled. Still trekking to and from the edge of my mind.

I didn't answer, I turned the handle and by just the sound of it clicking open my worries went silent.

" I thought they might have locked us in." I whispered. I stepped out of the threshold and into the corridor, I tiptoed down the hall and toward the stairs. Making it quickly down them I opened the front door. Immediately, I took a deep intake of crisp air... I finally felt free, out of the cage these people called home.

My bare feet came into contact with the snow sending a well welcomed chill through me. My toes curled, digging deeper into the powder.

I stepped forward.
'Go on.' My wolf urged.

I continued, I walked until I reached the edge of the forest before she told me to stop.

I shifted, looking on through my wolf's eyes we found a lone tree and settled down beside it.

The cold breeze that ruffled our fur, the sounds of other animals moving about, and the flickering light of the moon allowed sleep to take over within seconds.

I fell into a unconscious state, a deep sleep taking over as soon as my heavy eyelids dropped closed.
