The Talk

After finding out Ferrum, my mate, was now in the pack house safely within the walls of her own room... right down the hall from mine, I stormed toward my father's office.

The force of impact caused by me slamming the door opened had the plank of wood splintering. It cracked and the wall behind it now held a massive indent.

My cold eyes met with my father's, he could clearly see my enraged state.

I growled, baring my elongated canines." Call the engagement to Chelsea and sent her bastard of a father back to his damned pack!"

He seemed confused by my shouting but he wouldn't standby when I was demanding things of him." We've already had this conversation, Aiden." He spit the words out like fire. I could tell he was trying to remain calm but a glimpse of his wolf showed he was struggling. His beast didn't like that I wasn't taking his alpha role into consideration at the moment." I understand that you have found your mate but as future alpha you need to keep up your end of the deal to Liam. The girl is a rogue, boy. If you bring her here she will be looked down upon by your pack and she will drag you down with her."

He paused but only for a long enough period so I couldn't voice my thoughts." You will release her back to wild where she belongs... I will have some warriors take her away from our territory so she is no longer nuisance to you. She can continue to live her life... find someone one new and have-"

I slammed my fist onto his desk with a loud snarl, now my eyes turned a raging dark blue... almost black as my wolf surfaced." I will not allow that. She will remain here with me and assume her role of Luna to this pack!" I ground my teeth together in attempt to control myself... my wolf." If you do not accept Ferrum and call of the mating ceremony to the whore of a daughter that Laim claims worthy of the Luna role I will wreak havoc on you and anyone who opposes this bond between Alpha and Luna, between two rightful mates."

I stood hovering over my father, my claws dug into the flesh of my palm by how hard they were clenched shut. My wolf's eyes bore into his wolf's eyes. He'd come out to reel in my beast but he wouldn't relent... not when this matter involved his mate.

Finally, he nodded." I will speak to Liam but I cannot promise you anything, son. If this situation goes south it will be you who will take care of it. Since I will be handing over the alpha role to you in less than a month I will allow you to take control over the situation once I have a conversation with Liam."

I stiffly nodded my head at my father before I walled out of the office, softly closing the cracked door behind me.

My blood was still boiling from the exchange between myself and my father but as soon as I seen Ferrum staring out a window and out into the snow covered world below her it all went away.

" Ferrum," I called out. As she turned the winter sunshine caught her eyes and they seemed to glow along with her angelic features. I stopped a few feet away from her.

I drug my eyes along the length of her body. Taking in her long and muscular legs that seemed to go on for miles despite her being 5'7 5'8, taller than the usual she-wolf. Next was her slim yet curvaceous hips, they were just the right amount of curvy. I went up to her flat stomach and well sized chest. Again, her breasts were the right size. Not to big and not to small. She had the most gorgeous face I'd ever seen. Her cheekbones were perfect, her light pink lips plump and begging to be kissed, eyes I could forever stay lost in. My hands itched it touch every inch of her body.

I shook from my stupor once I heard her clear her throat, I flashed her lopsided grin." Are you wanting to go outside?" I asked, closing the distance between us to look put over the pack members below.

" I wasn't sure I was allowed..." She stated while her eyes focused on the distant forest." The wolves here look at me like I'm some kind of disease, afraid to get to close when I'm around."

I gently took her hand in mine and at the contact my skin sizzles with pulsing heat." They will have to get used to you being here. Not everyone will look at you like that, Ferrum. My pack is a good one and there are alot of good people here." I pulled her away from the window and began to walk downstairs toward the front of the pack house.

" Where are we going?" She inquired, her grip on my hand tightened as we reached the doors.

" For A run. I could use one, my wolf is restless right now... and by the way you were looking outside I would say you need some time out there too."

I looked back at her and the smile my eyes landed on was enough to melt my heart. I pushed the door open and walked outside, everyone looked our way but with a warning growl from me they were on their way again.

Once at the edge of the forest I let go of Ferrum's hand and began to take my shirt off then proceed with with my jeans. I stopped midway when I felt eyes on me. My mates eyes. She stared openly at me, at my toned chest and muscled stomach before she caught my eye. Her cheeks turned a light pink and she looked away, I couldn't stop the grin from forming on my face.

" Sorry." She muttered, the confident she-wolf I'd known out in the winter tundra quickly became shy.

" It's fine." I replied, I quickly undressed the rest of the way. Ferrum glanced my way once more before I shifted into my black wolf. Bones cracked and skin traded spots with fur.

I shook, my jet-black pelage shimmering in the suns rays. I felt a soft hand brush through my tresses, my wolf tilted his head toward our mate as she took in our massive from. Carefully dragging her nails along our back.

We nudged her, eager to from her shift. It seemed she was aswell.

She peeled her shirt over her head and then her black leggings followed. Her bra and underwear dropped to the ground within seconds, my wolf did nothing to suppress the growl he let out at the sight before him. I groaned internally.

We took in as much as we could before crackling sounded the air and her wolf fell before us. Instantly, my beast buried his nose into the side of her neck in which she blissfully purred at.

A tug at our ear and she was off. Her speed surprised us both as she broke out into a sprint, passing through the trees in a flash.

Digging his claws in the snow my wolf chased after her, we quickly caught up but she remained ahead of us. Drawing us deeper into the meadows.

We played around. Pulling at each other's tails, tackling one another into the snow, hide and seek was no doubt her favorite game.

She was a clever little wolf, using her surroundings to disguise her alluring scent. When she heard our annoyed growls it was the only time she would reveal herself.

We spent hours out in the wild lands of my territory... or our territory.

Curled around one another at some points.

Hunting small game.

Splashing around the cold water of the river.

When it grew dark I knew it was time to head back and this time she could come with me. I wouldn't have to leave her by herself in the cold night.

I nuzzled her side to get her attention, she was staring off into the darkness in what seemed like a process of thought.

I heard a whine. She knew we had to go now but she didn't want to go back. She wanted to stay put here in the only place she knew.

I pulled my ears back as I let my own whine out, I wouldn't leave without. Ever again. I nudged her once more and this time she gave in. Slowly we made our way back to the pack house.

Shifted and dressed again I entertained our fingers together once more while we walked back into the house.

" Goodnight Ferrum." I gently whispered into her ear before I placed a gentle kiss to her forehead.

" Goodnight Aiden."  She smiled, I stood there a little longer before walking down the hallway to my room. Once my door was shut I went to my bed and collapsed.

Sleep didn't take over until the late hours of the night.
