                          Aiden

Ferrum knew what I meant when I said I would do anything to have her by my side. And by the look she gave me... she didn't want it to happen.

" You can't," Ferrum said after a moments silence. She genuinely didn't want me to fight for her. Why? I wasn't sure but I was certain I was going to know now." Going to war over me isn't something I want for you, for your people, or anyone else for that matter."

" Ferrum," My hand drifted up to her face, cupping her cheek I ran my thumb along her fine cheekbone." I will not start this war. I will simply tell Liam that I reject Chelsea and am taking you as my rightful mate. They will leave but the choice of war will be in his hands. I will, as best as I can, prevent it from happening but that man is stubborn and won't stop till she is with me."

Ferrum's honeycomb eyes searched my icy blue ones, looking to see if I could keep my word, to see if I was telling the truth. Finally, she nodded." Okay, simply tell them to leave and we can go from there."

I swear the urge to kiss those plush pink lips was so strong I almost couldn't hold back.

'Get going.' My wolf growled. He too wanted to know the feel of her lips against ours would be like but he knew the sooner this mess was cleaned up the sooner it could happen.'Later, Aiden, we can do that later. Now, we must get rid of the rats in our home.'

I swiped my thumb across Ferrum's bottom lip, an act I didn't know I was doing until it was too late. She didn't seem to mind it, though. Ferrum actually leaned into my touch which only brough the urge to kiss her on more strongly.

I swallowed hard and pulled my hand away." I'll see you in a bit." My voice came out a little hoarse as I spoke. I gave those magnetic lips another look before I walked down the hall.

Liam and Chelsea would leave tonight. I wouldn't give them a choice to stay another day here, wrecking what could be with me and Ferrum.

When I reached the adjoined room Liam and Chelsea were staying in I knocked, a little to hard.

I waited until the door swung open to reveal an already annoyed looking Alpha.

'Well this will be fun.' I thought to my wolf.

I looked Liam in the eyes and hardened my face." You need to leave. Tonight. You and Chelsea. The agreement my father and you put together is no longer in motion. Ferrum is and will be my mate." I finished.

It was silent. I could feel the anger burning off of Chelsea's father in heated waves.

I was suddenly grabbed by the throat and slammed against the wall, Liams dark green eyes alight with dull yellow swirls." Listen here, boy." Liam growled, canines extended as he looked at me." My daughter will remain here. With you. And become Luna or there will be a war on your hands."

My wolf surfaced and I stared down at Liam with a snarl. To directly look into an alpha's eyes for longer than needed was a challenge. And I intend to have one.

Noticing this Chelsea's father released me, giving me space and some time to walk a few feet away.

My wolf was fuming at the time, scratching at my mind to be released and I was going to let him free.

Liam shifted within seconds and his dark brown wolf stood in front of me. I wasted no time in shifting myself.

Although older and already an alpha Chelsea's father's wolf was a little bit smaller than mine.

Fighting in the packhouse wasn't ideal but when a challenge occurred it didn't matter where you were.

My wolf crunched down into an attack pose and so did Liam's, our muzzles were wrinkled to show teeth, our throats vibrate with our loud snarls and the wooden floor beneath our feet was split open as our claws dug into it.

I lunged first, the floor seemed to quiver under my weight, my jaws clamped down onto Liam's neck as his landed onto my shoulder. We thrashed, fur and flesh being ripped away each time we yanked our heads back.

Once we broke apart we circled each other. Saliva tented with blood dripping from out snarling mouths. Liam made the move to run at me and I met him half way.

At the collision we had managed to break through the wall of the packhouse and outside. Being on the seconds flood we crashed into the ground, the crumbling wall coming down onto us. Both me and Liam yelped at the pain the earth inflicted on us.

It took us a second to shake off the impact before we were back to fighting, the drywall being smashed under our paws. Teeth snapped at fur, claws dug into the earth, and our bodies slammed into one anothers.

The pack had all come running toward us but they new better than to interfere with a challenge.

Chelsea however picked this time to be brave, to actually fight instead of cowering behind something.

Her much smaller grey wolf was on me in seconds. Now with both daughter and father, an alpha no less, I was struggling to shield myself from any of the blows.

The pack wasn't sure what to do. It was a challenge and Chelsea had gotten in the middle of it.

I managed to grab Liam by the neck and my ears perked to the sound of crumbling bones. It wasn't enough to end his life but it was satisfying no less.

I could hardly keep up the fight with Chelsea constantly on my back but I kept my focus on Liam. His daughter was nothing but a distraction. I suddenly seen a flash of sandy fur.

I heard the ground break with a loud impact and then whining.

By the smell of a familiar scent I knew it was Ferrum. She'd taken Chelsea off my back so I could now focus better on Liam.

I heard no fighting from the she-wolves after a minute or so. The snapping sounds made by their jowls went silent after a loud yelp. Who made the sound? I wasn't sure but I hoped it was Chelsea. Liam and I went back to circling each other but stopped our charge at the sound of my father's voice.

" What hell is going on here?!" He growled, I didn't take my eyes off of Chelsea's father but my dad had my attention." Aiden, Liam." Father gritted." What is the meaning of this?"

'I challenged him,' I snarled, taking a step toward Liam while I linked my father.' Told him to leave but he got violent and I challenged him.'

" Leave, Aiden." Father said, his voice much more calm now." I will take care of this."

Reluctant, I walked toward the woods with a roaring growl directed toward the daughter and father. My wolf was oddly much calmer than me at the moment so I allowed him to take over.

His ears shifted back at the sound of snow crunching behind him, with his guard up he turned toward the noise.

Ferrum, with nothing but a gash across her muzzle appeared from the tree line and into the forest. We could tell she was taking in our appearance, no doubt we looked like hell.

We heard a small whine and then was approached by our mate. She gently, light as a feather, rubbed her frame against ours. Her warm tongue darted out to clean our wounds.

My wolf and I swelled with love for our mate.

Love. Within a short time that was what we were feeling.

Did she feel it too?
