Aiden
I awoke with the break of dawn. The light from the slowly rising sun broke through my window shades causing the ray's to spill into my freshly opened eyes. I winced, the brightness of the day burning my eyes. Groaning, I rubbed my callused hands against my eyelids before I slowly opened them.
I took a deep breath and readied myself for the start of the day but my wolf seemed restless for some reason. He'd been going on about a mate. Then it clicked. The dazzling wolf from yesterday. She had been on my mind all night causing me quite the problem in sleeping. I tossed and turned for hours until the deep slumber finally took over.
'Get a move on!' My wolf shouted at me.'No time to waste... we have someone waiting for us.'
I didn't bother replying. I dressed and quickly exited the pack house where majority of the pack stayed. We were 214 wolves strong and I would soon be the alpha to them all.
I planned to talk to my father today about finding my mate... maybe now he would shut up about bonding with Chelsea. She was hand picked by my father for me a year ago because I wasn't successful in finding my fated one. But I finally found her and she seemed perfect.
Since it was the crack of dawn I decided to head out to where I ran into the magnificent beast yesterday... she had been so alluring... so magnetic that I yearned to follow after her but I couldn't. Not then anyways. I planned to track her down today.

My wolf's legs were burning as he worked them over time in a desperate need to find his one true mate... the one that fit his soul just right.
The small flurry that had started in the afternoon yesterday ended up becoming a storm in which covered the ground with new soft white powder. Although large in side my beast struggled to keep up his steady pace through the thick snow. His nose frantically took in smells... Elk, some pack members, rotting flesh... the female's scent. My wolf had to take a double take on the last one. He yipped in excitement as he inhaled the smell before he was off again.
The wolf prowling over the terrain quickly traced the tracks to it's source. When my eyes rested upon the same wolf I'd seen yesterday my heart quickened. My wolf groaned.'Perfect.' And I quickly agreed.
With a coat of sandy thick, wavy, and silky fur cascading over her visibly muscular frame and bright orange eyes that seemed to be on fire... my breath was stuck in my throat at the sight. My wolf yearned to be near her, to rub his scent into hers, to spend the rest of the day... no, the rest of his life with her.
Stepping forward I barked at her, just to get her attention off whatever she was doing. When she looked my way I could see that she was surprized but happy to see me... though it faded just as fast as it appeared.
I allowed this time for my wolf to take over. After all I was more interested in the skin version of her and wished to see it soon. While her attention was still stuck on us my wolf flexed his muscles, showing off his intense size and radiating dominance. He began to stride toward her in a way I had never seen him do. He was obviously whipped over this wolf... as was I.
Watching on, the female rolled her eyes at the display my wolf was giving her. Clearly she wasn't enjoying it. He was just making a fool of himself... of us. I prayed the human in her wouldn't think I was egging this on.
Before he could get close to her she took off, at this my wolf was confused. She disappeared over the hilltop she was standing on in a split second. My wolf ran to the top just to see his mate at the bottom, a playful glit about her. She had her front end bowed to the ground with her rump in the air and her tail wagging wildly.
Pleased to see this my beast ran down to the end of the hill only for her to take off again. It was a game. And one that we would gladly play.
And with that. The chase was on.
Ferrum
She ran.
Fast.
Hard.
Pushing herself past the limit.
Our legs burned as we pushed through the dead forest of trees. The snow beneath our paws took a beating as we dashed onward. I hadn't planned this. He was just there... and then, the next thing I knew, we were running.
I had a good laugh at watching the brute try to woo us... I didn't know if it was indeed the human or the wolf that put that show on. But he tried. My wolf wouldn't shut up about interacting with them so I made her a deal. If he could catch us, only if, then I would allow her time with him.
She didn't waste time in taking over then. I sat happily at the back of her mind, watching on through her eyes. She made a quick escape to the meadow we had been searching through before he showed up. When she turned around to see him standing gloriously atop of the hill she bowed. An instant invitation to play. Her tassel swayed left to right... she gave her butt an extra toss just to make sure she had his full attention.
When he ran down the hill toward us my wolf ran off again.
She dodged trees.
Jumped over fallen logs.
Went into different directions just to throw him off but he remained right behind us. Actually, right on our tail. I urged her to go faster, take a sharp turn. Do anything to lose him but she continued to go straight.
That's when we went tumbling right into the depths of the snow. When we finish flipping a heavy body fell on us.
We were caught. And I didn't like it but a deal was a deal.
A loud purring noise rose in my wolf's chest. She nuzzled her head into the fluff of our mate's neck. He responded with a satisfied hum.
They stayed like that for a moment longer until the warmth of his body lifted off of her. Standing, my beast shook her pelage. Clearing it from the mushed snow. The black wolf stood back at a short distance to take in her sandy coat once again. Then he circled around us, nipping playfully at her haunches.
It was time for the interaction between our two wolves.
